• Asks neighbors, please look in outbuildings
• They have a lot of people to interview, digital information
• "Obviously there is reason for concern, doesn't mean they expect foul play but they do understand that is a possibility". Transition in part due to over 300 people who have volunteered & amount of area they covered.
• Its not productive to have 300 people staged when they've double and tripled checked areas

• Mother, stepmother, and father have been cooperative. Interviews were conducted by Texas Rangers and local investigators. It has gone well, they got information from them.
• Confirms the story of an argument between Athena and stepmother, not unusual, and she thought she would come back but she didnt
• Dad was South of Fort Worth on the way to a hunting trip. immediately turned around when called
• Stepmother was only adult at home at the time of Athenas disappearance

I am convinced I did hear 2123 in this press conference as to where the trail dropped off. And dang if that is not the direction of the sex offender w/ the 8-year-old victim.

A few sex offenders nearby. All have victims that are young, one as young as 8. May not be relevant at all, but the risk is there.

There are registered sex offenders and they have made contact with all of them - that's why US Marshalls were involved. It's on the table as a possible but not a direct lead right now.
