Second package at FedEx facility is purported to also be a bomb. The fact that it is unexploded is a huge coup for law enforcement. This has tremendous evidentiary value.
Living in Austin, the thing that really concerns me now is how this is escalating. If in fact he walked into the Brodie Lane FedEx to drop off those packages, he HAD to know there are probably a ton of cameras in that strip mall. I am worried he doesn't care about getting caught or wants to get caught, and is planning a major attack as LE closes in. I am very concerned for all of our safety.

UT student here. This is also my concern. His tripwire bomb was only 5 miles from campus and 5 and a half from where I live. I'm very afraid of a "grand finale".
There was a heavy police presence on campus today.
There were tweets showing taking a bomb sniffing dog in UT mail room, then later the fire alarm went off but no smoke. It was cleared a while later. That JMHO that was the police you happen to see. They have been busy. Bless them all.
Mail room is on west mall?Ahh, makes sense. Yes, I'm sure they are all working night and day to keep an entire city safe. We are so grateful!!
Here is the link to the tweet I was speaking of this morning at UT Mailroom https://twitter.com/UTAustinPolice/status/976114237616640000Mail room is on west mall?
Investigators may have more clues to work with than the bomb-maker might expect.
“Shrapnel is critical to this analysis,” said Mr. Van Zandt, the former F.B.I. profiler. “If investigators look at the shrapnel from all five devices and see the same kind of nails or ball bearings, for instance, that would connect the devices to the same bomb builder. Investigators could then canvass hardware stores in Austin, or all over Texas for that matter, looking for someone who bought quantities of these things.”
The locations of the explosions is also significant. All of the four bombings in Austin occurred in residential neighborhoods near highways and major thoroughfares, suggesting to investigators that the suspect may be doing significant getaway planning and may not even live in Austin.
Aside: PCL is right across from Jester, where that shooter committed suicide 8 years ago. Scary.Jester is where they went for the fire alarms

Jester Academic is evacuating for a fire alarm. No sign of smoke at this time. AFD, FPS, and UTPD investigating.
I find it interesting that the reporters have not been using one certain hashtag. I am wondering if LEO/FBI have asked them not to. Def will be very tight lipped what info they release. JMHO
