I'm glad to see this too! Hopefully her mom or another family member will be talking to NG so maybe we can get some clarification on some of the confusing issues in this case, especially with so few updates. I know with JVM, CNN puts up video and transcripts usually by the next day, so I would think NG is the same. I'll check for it tomorrow and put it up....

I read a post that said NG coverage was being moved, delayed until tomorrow night. I will probably try to watch both nights just to be sure. The info on NG is usually outdated, but hopefully the coverage helps, or gives us something we can use to dig deeper.

Bummer that it didn't air tonight. I really hope it does tomorrow because I am confused too! I want to know facts and it would be nice to hear from some family members. Thanks for updating us !

Oddly, the case that NG DID cover, is not one here at WS and she had been missing since August, and apparently, her body has just been found. I did a search for a thread, but came up empty. Surprising, as usually anyone missing that long finds their way here...

That is strange! I always find the cases here. I will have to look this case up. Was this a new NG this evening? There are so many cases that my head is spinning. Hard to keep them straight.

Yes it was new because I looked it up and her body was just found a day or so ago...Erica Whaley.

No tangible leads in search for missing Graham woman
GRAHAM – After more than a month of following up on numerous leads, including reported sightings, police in Graham say they are no closer to finding Candace Shields, a 20-year-old pregnant woman.

“We’re just being hopeful that she’s out there somewhere and if someone’s got her that they’re treating her decent,” Quillin said.

Wasn't on AGAIN last night. It seems like she got bumped for NG to talk about a woman that's been arrested for murdering her husband. Seems like someone that's missing would take precedence, but what do I know? It must be frustrating for Candice's family to think her case will be covered only to keep getting passed over. Maybe tonight.....

OT, but WHY does NG go off onto these tangents of cases where a perp is in custody, when she has PLENTY of active missing cases, involving children and women, to "choose" from? OT, but WHY does NG go off onto these tangents of cases where a perp is in custody, when she has PLENTY of active missing cases, involving children and women, to "choose" from? I was aware of the case she covered last night, but it is not one that is of any use to the community, i.e. suspect is not at large, no one is in danger, etc...JMO and just frustrated.

Because she has more to talk about? She can openly slam the perp because they're in custody and she can play like she's a prosecutor again?
IDK... but she covers crime in general, not just missing people. I've seen her devote an entire show to Lindsey Lohan or other celebs who are in trouble with the law. I think she did quite a few shows on the Penn State scandal, too.

Her current bf refers to her as the future mother to his child and seems unconcerned that she is still missing. Does anyone else think that is a little off? Oh, I think it's very off! It bothers me too that there is so little coverage of Candice. I still feel that, unfortunately, the fact that she does not seem to have custody of her son may be indicitive of some "trouble" in her past..... and sometimes past "troubles" make others think it's a voluntary disappearance. jmo

Although substantial leads seem to be in short supply, there’s no shortage of rumor surrounding the case.

Reeves said it’s become impossible for she and CUE volunteers to keep up with the onslaught of online comments, but they’re trying to mitigate it.

“We try to eliminate some of those rumors,” Reeves said. “It takes the stress off of Mom. But they’re always going to be out there especially when you have something like this in a small town. We try to keep people updated so that will help when people are searching for information.”

Some of those rumors are circulating via a Facebook page that is not endorsed by Shield’s family.

“There’s a lot of rumor online including a Facebook page set up and operated by a source unknown to us and not associated with CUE or the family,” said Reeves. “So we’ve set up a Facebook to be maintained and monitored by the family.”

That page is the group “Official Facebook Page — Help Find Candice Shields” which was created Wednesday.
