I'm trying not to be irritated by this. Hopefully there was a very good excuse that the prosecutor was late. But the very last thing we need is for the DA to botch this.

I followed the Heather Elvis case and both defendants had many people in the courtroom when they were there for AK, murder and other charges. Not sure why people think the instant someone gets arrested for AK or something similar they lose everyone.

Not everyone is willing to turn their back on people just because they have been accused or even convicted of a crime. I suspect most people there for EA are there for his parents and brother. While he has been convicted in the court or public opinion, he is just accused in the court of law.

Is the 'ping' activity associated with a physical device or is the 'ping' associated with a phone number? When they get the ping records, does that reflect just a ping from their number or does it reflect a ping from iPhone 5 serial number ######? or both?

I ask because I'm curious about the multiple devices AE had and what happens with those records when a number is assigned to a new device.

A ping is from a device. If you have an iphone that is NOT set up with a number, it will still ping.
