I havent caught up on thread yet, but the thought just occurred to me. Could it have been SB using SN phone? Maybe she could have called Christina to say, hey, its me. I didnt call from my phone so he doesnt know its me. Is everything ok? And Christina could have answered, I am still walking back to my car. Just a thought! IMO
The affidavit provided as fact that CM used her phone to call SN while walking with EA.
What call are you referring to when asking if SB may have used SN's phone to call CM?
Another interesting case can be found on Netflix or even YouTube from the series, Forensic Files. It's called Wheel of Fortune and offers very similar facts to the CM case. A young woman disappears after playing cards at a casino. Everyone including the parents are sure it's the live in boyfriend until the casino videotape shows the woman leaving the casino with an unknown male. He is eventually found guilty of murder even though he never confessed nor was her body ever found. The father of the girl, a retired policeman, says they would have continued to believe the boyfriend was guilty if DNA and phone records hadn't proved otherwise.
Yes, I watched the 'Wheel of Fortune' case (as suggested on an earlier thread).
Turns out I had seen it before.
After one watches so many shows covering so many cases, it is hard to recall any specifics.
There are a lot of cases when the bf or husband is considered the suspect at first glance.
LE wastes no time looking into the circumstances of the significant other in every case.
When I first started reading at WS, I had the impression statistics were higher than they actually are for the significant other being the perp.
With that idea planted in my mind early on, the statistics are hard to ignore (one third of the time - but lower than fifty percent as I once believed).
When the SO looks troubled on paper, that alone makes it harder (for me personally) to dismiss their possible involvement.
Even when it looks like someone else is the perp, some husbands or wives hire a hit man so that angle must be considered as well.
They often air crime case shows that mirror a current breaking case on the news.
The schedulers must pay attention when a crime hits the news and pick shows with similar circumstances.
There are very few cases of which my mind was made up prior to hearing all the evidence.
Another thing, I have observed coincidences that end up being simply coincidences.
When they emerge, it is important to me to come to terms with an explanation (not ignore them).
