Perhaps the killer thinks or hopes the police aren't on to them. But I think the police already know who it is. One theory of mine is: I think the killer was a woman who believes in her head that she (the killer) is meant to be with Liz's husband. She saw Liz as her rival who she had a mission to remove from the picture. She's very off her rocker and delusional but maybe not all the time. She's disillusioned with her current life and thought that having Liz's husband is the answer to her life. She planned this meticulously. Now she thinks she will not be caught, but she's going to be, and she's also coming apart at the seams as this investigation continues. After she's arrested, this crime will be far more in the headlines than it has been before. She's going to plead mental health reasons as a defense and join all the other women killers in state prison in Texas for the rest of her life, and her whole family's lives will be shattered for years to come. That's one of my theories.

Somebody was watching and knew her husband either by face and/or car and/or license tag, etc...The watcher also knew a little about his daily go-to-work time and routine.
The watcher was probably nervous just sitting there, waiting. S/he knew approx. when/where the school buses came to pick up the neighborhood kids, and knew to get it done as early and quickly as possible because s/he knew a lot of the neighborhood folks get moving early on weekdays. Of course the shooter wanted to get in/get out asap. On this day, however, the shooter had a good excuse to be hanging out there -- the garage sale would be good cover for a strange vehicle and a not-from-this-neighborhood person to be hangin' out. Perfect situation.
(But we know that "perfect" doesn't happen in real life... We know.)
This person knew one or the other or both of them well enuff to have a reason to do it.
What was that reason?

Not only that, but the shooter had to know she was going to be outside setting up for the garage sale. And the shooter knew it was her because otherwise wouldn't they have checked first before putting bullets into her?
So....was there someone helping the shooter who told them "Do it tomorrow morning as she will be outside early setting up for the garage sale". Or maybe, "She's outside the house. Now's your opportunity." Who knew that? Sorry @borndem if that is what you were saying. I can be dense sometimes.

You were not being dense at all, @Razz! You just added another good possibility to what may have been happening that morning -- Indeed the shooter had to be careful and appear at her house at the right time -- not too early and not too late -- s/he may well have had a neighbor or someone nearby helping -- when would the killer know the coast is clear other than passing by the street multiple times? OTOH, I have seen garage sale people just "camp out" and wait for the sale to get started. At that time of day, probably most of the neighbors on that street would have been pretty busy and possibly not have noticed a strange car. We may never know what made the shooter arrive when s/he did -- the timing was near-perfect so far because it seems that no one saw anything. But let's hope a neighbor saw a lot and is working with LE.

To me it looks like a hit. Direct, deliberate, premeditated. The video was very disturbing to watch. It honestly reminds me of mafia or gang behavior. I feel like if it were someone who hated her (scorned lover or someone obsessed with husband) they would have shot her immediately. On the other hand, if gang they might say “you did blah blah and are going to die” before shooting. IMO

If I remember right, the pick up truck circle around a couple of times, I think he or she knew that the husband was leaving for work soon, so they waited for the opportunity. This is not a random crime, the person knew them and I'm confident we will see progress on this case pretty soon or at least I hope JMO

Agreed -- No way it's random. Plenty of planning and timing went into this one. Someone who thinks s/he is smarter than LE.
I keep hoping a neighbor or two noticed something or had a security camera -- LE would not disclose that type thing to anyone, I'm sure. In a neighborhood like that, at that time of day, surely somebody saw something that will help LE with this murder of their neighbor.
 
On the video, Liz appears to be on her phone before/as the shooter is coming up her driveway. She is also gesturing with her arm while she is talking. Someone has pointed that out and I also noticed it when I've looked at the grainy video.

Another theory is this: the shooting is not related to the Star Wars group, but the person behind the killing wanted it to appear that way, and that is possibly the reason for the strange outfit and the reason for other aspects of the killing too.

I actually had that same thought about the costume..that it could be used as a way to make it look related to the Star Wars group.

I feel this had to be someone that knew her that actually killed her, or someone that knew her and hired a hit.

Perhaps LE are trying to pick up somebody and they are trying to locate said person.
