My apologies. I read something I thought that indicated he was gone only about an hour.

I really don't think there is a connection... and I'm not sure why. Because I'm also not convinced I know what happened to Hailey. I think maybe it's because this guy knew Beth but we have no reason to believe he knew Hailey. Not that it means anything.

However, for those who are looking at the similarities... here are the pictures.

Thanks for photos I try that last night but my computer was being bad!

I don't think so either. But I feel it must to be look at...no stone left uncover.

He was in and out several times Gone an hour referred to his midnight departure

Salinas would likely have passed this bakery (Flowers Bakery) to arrive at the location being searched in the 5600 block of Elm Street. It appears to have one of those security check points at the entrance. I wonder if they also have video surveillance as well. Most bakeries operate 24 hours so it's likely the guard shack was attended the night of the 4th.

Are they sure the runaway from Lubbock they arrested on 1/8 that said a Hispanic man tried to force her into his vehicle was making a "false claim"? 12/27-28 HD missing; 1/5 EE missing; 1/8 this girl makes claim - I hope they checked this out thoroughly.

wow! that the first time I seen that. yes this need to be checked out thoroughly.

I don't understand why the video shows the mother hurrying out to the parking lot.
I wish some of these details were released when she first went missing.
If it was suggested that EE ran away with her boyfriend then there should have been a picture of him released to the media and any vehicles associated to him.
This case sounds like a mess from the start.

I can give one good reason for her to be hurrying out to the parking lot.

I thought about what I would do if my daughter turned up missing, I would go everywhere she was that night and everywhere else I could think of to try to find her. What I wouldn't be doing is sitting home waiting for someone else to do it for me. I would call the police and when I was done with them I would call a friend to sit at the house in case she turned up at home, take a cell phone with me and be off!

I think she went there because EE had been there and I think he told her she took off with her "BF". That's why she rushed out because she was still out looking and wasn't wasting any time. JMO.

True, but the strange and unlikely purse story pre her vanishing, the very violent past of the last person to see her is what would make me think they would look into HS and that the story was a lie, thus leading them to the motel being the last place and to checking the tapes earlier
MOO

Waddles, when you said "very violent past", it made me wonder if he has done this type of crime before. There have been so many missing women and girls in the area that HS should be looked at for other crimes. Here is an archived thread regarding this.

Elizabeth was 15, not 13.
I'm guessing that police did not think anything happened at the hotel. She went there willingly to babysit, just did not return home. The father told E's mom that she might have run away with his son, so police declared her a runaway. There was no probable cause to get a warrant to view the tapes at that time and they can only go with what is told to them by the family.
Does this hotel have a security guard who regularly views the security tapes? Or do they only look at them if there has been an attempt of robbery or some other crime?
This is what I don't understand and am so disheartened by...

The motel owner/manager, at some point, knew Elizabeth was missing and the name of his business was involved. Why didn't the owner look at their own tapes? As the owner, I would have looked at the tapes if only to prove to anyone necessary that Elizabeth left my establishment and wasn't still there somewhere. I run a motel...words fail me...

ITA that I too would be physically going to where my daughter was last seen. I don't find it odd that she went to the motel but the way the description was in the arrest warrant just sounded a bit odd.

Do we know if LE has taken Salinas vehicle into custody?

The part that puzzles me about VE going to the motel is she had already reported EE missing at that point. Maybe she went to get more information from HS regarding his son's whereabouts.

12:01 HS, Jr.'s vehicle is seen leaving the parking lot.

28 minutes - Possible disposal of body?

12:29 HS, Jr. returns to the Carriage House alone.

12:33 HS, Jr. leaves the hotel.

Could this be when HS takes EE's purse to her home?

12:58 HS, Jr. returns to room 113.

Approx. 1:00 a.m. VE reports EE missing

1:23 am HS, Jr. leaves the Carriage House with his two younger children.

2:01 am HS, Jr. returns with his wife, sister-in-law and the children

2:04 HS, Jr. walks to the south entrance and meets VE

2:06 HS, Jr. and VE walk to room 113

2:13 VE runs down the hallway towards the parking lot.

I think he kills her during this time period.

12:29 HS, Jr. returns to the Carriage House alone.

Quick check to see if kids are all right/notice him missing.

12:33 HS, Jr. leaves the hotel.

Could this be when HS takes EE's purse to her home?

Goes back to move body from original dumping place to safe place for later dump in rural area. He does not have time to go to Shallowater from hotel during this night based on video evidence.

Approx. 1:00 a.m. VE reports EE missing

I don't think VE reports EE missing until HS shows up with purse

1:23 am HS, Jr. leaves the Carriage House with his two younger children.

1:45 am drops off purse and says looked around other addresses for EE.

2:01 am HS, Jr. returns with his wife, sister-in-law and the children

2:04 HS, Jr. walks to the south entrance and meets VE

2:06 HS, Jr. and VE walk to room 113

BBM: There is no way that VE reported EE missing at 1 am., if the Warrant is true regarding her overhearing HS Jr. offering back EE's purse to her brother at 1:45 am. The brother would have verified the approximate time.

Either the 1 am report is invalid OR VE was told of EE being missing prior to 1 am.

I do believe the 1 am report is totally inaccurate.

EnvoyDriver61: I completely agree.

This is exactly what I think happened, with the exception of the fact that he may not have killed EE at all that night, but only went to the Elm St. location to ensure she was secure. It is also possible that along with checking on the children, he obtained something to further secure EE, like rope or something.

I don't know exactly when he told or to whom, but the kidnapper also told a story about Elizabeth calling his wife about having trouble with the kids, so he went to the motel and got into an argument because he didn't want to get his kids out in the cold. That was probably after the hallway and parking lot video was looked into though. I highly doubt that the mean looking guy was playing bingo with his wife. There's no telling what he was really out doing, or what he was trying to do to Elizabeth or make her do. If the dollar general story is true then there must be someone else involved who was holding her, or else he had her tied up in another scuzzy motel by the bingo place.

Just a thought IF the $ store, story is true.. and the guy had an accomplice, can someone see how many RSO's live in that motel.. I dont know about down there, but up here, extended stay motel type places are FILLED with RSO's.

Do you have a link for that? Thanks.

This may sound like I am bashing the LE, so take it however you will.........Even if I had originally thought my child had runaway, the Motel was the last known place that EE was.....why not look at the surveillance video FIRST to see who she may have left with or who may have visited while she was there alone (I was a teenager once, babysat, and I know I would have a friend over to sit with me sometimes, usually someone my mother didn't approve of) I know she was supposedly "dropped off" by HS............but I am just not understanding why this video was not looked at FIRST THING!!!
