I was wondering about that and wondering if someone was stretching the truth when that post was made?

I'm looking for a link but on KTXS 5 o'clock news they said it was organized fully by the community, no LE involved. On their website it says "officials," so I'm not sure why the conflict.

In a 4 p.m. press release, DPS Trooper Phillip Dean stated additional resources are being sought on an "as needed basis."

Additional agencies and officers are in Colorado City and behind the scenes in Dallas to assist. The task force, which numbered 30 yesterday, continues to grow as officials seek specialists in certain fields.

I just hope the locals are not searching areas already searched...we know they did some searches earlier in the week, with the helicopter anyway, not sure about ground searches?

We watched BD on Nancy Grace last night. Then we just heard law enforcement say she wasn't given any results. Talked it over with my husband (a retired police chief) and he also said BD was telling the truth. He said LE is not allowed to tell anyone results, but will sometimes to try to break the person into a confession. IMO

OT. Sorry the reason for this post is that I need a stop point to be able to read where I left off.

What I normally do is write down the number of the last post I read and thread # and then when I come back on line, I know where to start from. :)

The more agencies the more egos....

I don't want to keep coming back onto LE issues, BUT, this seems really important and relevant to the discussions.

There are several orgs in Texas that know what they are doing when it comes to SAR, not just TES, and none of them are being used or being allowed to do what they do best. This is a big issue.

This is exactly what I thought. There are a lot of hands in the mix. It is very expensive for TES who works soley through donations. In a way I'm glad they are formulating a plan instead of bringing them into chaos. My hope is they work fast and get them on the ground ASAP.

ETA I keep having flashbacks to the Caylee case TES exhausted so much money that Orange County actually pitched in financially so they could stay longer.

Welcome!!! I also had DH watch NG last night with me (from Patty's wonderful list). I wanted his opinion as he really doesn't get into this stuff. And he agreed with me - and with what your DH said - that Billie is telling the truth.

LOL, and see, I hope they are. Things get missed, happens all the time, and if it's in an area that has been "cleared" well then they won't be getting any grief about being there. Of course I also hope they are searching new areas too.

sorry for quoting myself.

So they're seeking "specialists" in WHAT areas of expertise?

The only thing is TES has all of those..not to mention side scanning sonar equipment ect.

It would take them a total of 60 seconds to locate those types of experts. imo

all *I* would have to do is look up thread! lol

Am really not being sarcastic but hopefully somebody who is an experienced PR person who is going to lay out the facts known/not known. A person who is not dabbling in the detail or pretending to know the facts. Just lay it out clear and concise with nothing left for interpretations. That would be one wish to be fulfilled.
