We now know what vehicle Mona drives, but what confuses me at the moment is the "towing" of the step-father's vehicle especially since the mother indicates that her husband passed the poly!

Could it be that the step-father actually was the last known person to see Jonathan and that is why they towed the vehicle?

I would think that if the poly was actually issued, and it came out negative, there would be no reason to tow the vehicle.

I do understand that LE would cover all their bases, however, something is just not right here.

If they went to her home on Tuesday night, I am surprised she did not leave there and was home when they came back Wednesday. And I am surprised they found any evidence in the home. jmo

EXACTLY and why I do not believe it went down that way.
Perhaps they arrived late Tuesday evening with a SW and did not leave until Wednesday. JMHO

I know I should RTFT, but could someone lay out the facts for me (and anyone else) who is just tuning (back) in? Was the 3 ft body Jonathan? Nancy Grace had something else on last night.

The initial report of the height of the body is Jonathan.

And I am to believe the SD had only known MN for 2 weeks?
Mom and Jonathan moved to SE home on or around December 14th.
And per witnesses MN had been seen at the apartment complex where SD lived.

So again I ask where in the world did the Mom meet her new roommate and how long had she known her?

This is crucial information to the case in my eyes.
Not pointing fingers at anyone here but these issues are a bit too convenient for me.
Coincidences do not exist in CRIMES.

Davis said that Nelson stopped by the house that night, telling her that she had come to the house that morning looking for Ennamorato, and that Jonathan had answered the door wearing no shirt, and it seemed like someone was in the house with him.

I think this is how the mystery man that was being searched for came into play yesterday. Personally, I do not think this person exists.

As the old Southern ladies around here would say, "Something is sho-God fishy" about this whole story.

Just catching up.....thoughts so far. IMO, JMO and speculation on my part.

-The video of stepdad...WOW! And yes, he did look like he wanted to crack a smile while putting on his show. He was trying too hard to be upset. Plus, all I could think of while he was jumping around was the fact that he had smacked Jonathan in the face.

-***WARNING GRAPHIC*** The welding torch. What if MN used that to torch the body but only torched areas of the body she thought would make him unidentifiable. Example, hands (fingers for finger prints), head (face, teeth, etc.)

-Why were his clothes off? To make him harder to identify? If so, why did she keep the clothes and not burn them too?

-If this is not drug related, then I will hang up my sleuthing hat.

I do not like this step-father; nope, nope, nope. Way over the top for someone who barely knew this child.

My guess is that he is trying to win back his wife.

we don't know what all they've been throuygh in terms of drug/recovery...seems like they were trying to be a family. Chances are that if either of them found drugs to be the answer to life stresses, that they just as likely have little training in terms of parenting skills. Just saying.

I'm guessing that many people probably had their 'suspicions' but were too afraid to speak them. Think about his empty threat earlier...look at him...seriously, if he in the back of his mind had even the slightest idea it was her, even having the desire to avenge...

I think we should try to be a bit sympathetic here, and now...the poor family has been through so much.

The stepdad seems like a big liar in the video-most of us get the same feeling...his words,his facial expressions,his demeanor, it all seems fake and wrong.

I don't believe a word that DD or AD say.....as for AD being "mom"....spit! Jonathan was being raised by wonderful people who loved him. Then, granny, I bet through Angela, decides to remove him from a normal life and throw him to the drug wolves. WHY???? Pure selfishness. Angela wanted to play mommy. Words can't describe how much I despise the people who put Jonathan in such a dangerous, disfunctional situation.

I adopted 1 of my children from foster care. His bio family had/has a lot of issues. He has 2 mothers myself and the mom who gave birth to him and realized she was in over head and voluntarily placed him in the care of the state.

We have a phone call to Mom's work THAT MORNING (Jonathan asking for SE's #), then ANOTHER CALL to work saying it's an emergency. Then Mom heads home, apparently at around 2 which was when she was originally supposed to get home. (1 or 2). Step Dad checks on him at 1:45 (did mom call SD and tell him to check on him?), says he's fine, but in the meantime, Mom is calling over and over on her way home and finally a raspy voiced woman answers, a few MOMENTS later mom pulls up and he is not there. Then at some point, she gets "a call threatening her son".

Now, add to that that Mona says she was there in the morning to get SE's #, well that appears to be true considering JF called to get #.

That is INCREDIBLY tight timing. Not saying it could not have happened, but it just don't feel right, it feels OFF.

How odd would it be for something on fire in this area? Also, is the construction/industrial complex still there on Hirsch & Antha?

IMHO, it would have been kind of strange to be burning on those days. It was in the mid to high 70s right before Christmas. Also, we had not had any rain for a significant time. I know we had a burn ban in my city. It was a little cooler at night though. I guess it would depend on whether or not a fireplace was available. My feeling is that she must have done it late in the night. If a neighbor happened to be up, it probably wouldn't have looked weird, weird to see smoke from a chimney at night.

JF's aunt, who helped raise him with AD's brother, posted here earlier that it was JF's idea to move in with his mother. Aunt & Uncle disagreed, the grandmother overruled them, but it was originally JF's request.
