Yes, it appears that SDad may have had frequent contact with JF during the year before JF moved in with the couple. Uncle has been uneasy for a year, and believes JF wasn't "in a good place to begin with."

In November 2009, Jonathan returned to Texas to live with his grandmother. It was not his uncle's decision. He did not know the boy was living with his sister again. He says he has never heard of Mona Nelson, but for a year he has not been at ease.

I'm thinking her motive is revenge and/or rage and jealousy over love interest or perceived love threat. Unsure who she may have thought was involved with whom that sparked her rage. Need more info on her relationship to AD, DD and SE (babysitter and roommate), as well as ADs relationship to SE, etc.

Mona seems to like a certain type of women soley based on the photo with the blonde on her MS page, IIRC. I am not seeing her type with AD or any of the others we have seen in this case.

The video is no longer on the website that I could find, but here's the post where I mentioned it. You're right, there hasn't been any more mention of the clothing in the media that I've heard. I think the house in NE Houston is Mona's house even though that has not been verified. MSM has mentioned that LE went to her house Tuesday night and then came back to arrest her Wednesday.

Reading through MN's MySpace comments gives me the impression that she "fell in love" ALOT. She even makes mention in one of the comments about knowing "he (no idea who he is) loves you but I love you more" and wanting the person back. (See MySpace comment 8/24).

Thank you. I saw those posts, however I am looking for a link for an article that would substantiate the posts of "recovered Jonathan's clothing", not just clothing or speculation of clothing; burning clothing etc. Again, thank you for all the links.

Local Here...trying to answer some of the questions that I can.

Apologies in advance, because it's long but it has some links to other similar cases in Harris County that are worth a read.

1. Mona's House / Area: If they noticed the fire, and IF they cared they still would not "snitch"...nope not in this area.

2. Burning Place ?: In Houston in 2007 - A very, very close family friend was killed, dismembered, burned---on 2 patio grills on the 2nd floor apartment, with neighbors on both sides---of the ex boyfriend---to the point where the only thing left was a hair and tooth fragment found in the garbage disposal.

So, yes, it's possible and if I hadn't attended that trial I wouldn't believe it myself...but it's indeed possible. Also, this case was so highly publicized nationally for a while and locally, still...that it wouldn't surprise me at all if Mona recalled that case at some point during all of this.

3. I have the utmost confidence in the HPD investigators and prosecutors handling this case. Oh and I might add that this perp claimed the mental defense for killing his kids...they sent him to treatment and afterwards...returned him to stand trial!

If you read the prosecutors opening statements in these trials...there is no doubt, that they are about getting justice for these victims...and THEY MEAN IT!

I can also tell you from being involved in an extremely publicized - nationally and local-- case in Harris County, (neither of the two above) that you / we will not get anymore details than they have to give, until trial...and neither will the reporters.

IMO, that's where some of this shoddy reporting is coming from...reporter's trying to piece things together...because i can tell you from experience, they won't get the info from the prosecutors unless they have to...oh and No Sunshine Laws here.

If you live near meth labs or where anyone smokes crack you get used to the smell of chemicals and weird stuff burning an are too afraid to ask questions let alone call the police.
I still think someone noticed but just idn't report it or though someone was burning debris or trash.

I think it was posted on her MS that Mona was in a relationship and it just ended. I think Mona started seeing SE and when AD moved in Mona snapped. I feel SE knows more to this story.

I agree remember the case in CA it was Sunday School teacher who abused and murdered a little girl.
This is the second case this year with women who body build or weight train. I wonder if the abuse of steroids could cause 'roid rage in these women?

Has it ever been established that the mother and father are drug addicts? So far I can't find any facts we have in the case that would indicate drugs were involved. This was such a bizarre senseless crime, a rational person would think drugs must have been involved, but I have a feelings this is going to be a Sandra Cantu type crime that will never make any sense. As someone said earlier the image of Mona doesn't fit together with the image of the mother and stepfather. I don't think this crime took place because of a relationship between the couple and Mona. Some take comfort in blaming the mother, but I just feel very sad for all of the family that they lost such a sweet little boy.

I would like to know why the grandmother allowed Jonathan to move back with his mom, the Uncle said he wanted to go back to live with his grandmother and he had no idea he was living back with his mother.It seems the mom did not have a stable home for her son, for 12 years this child lived away from his mom.She has him a few weeks and now he is gone, My heart goes out to the Aunt and Uncle and their 5 children.I just hope they can recover from this nightmare.

Nothing in this case makes any sense to me. So, Mona, if you didn't kill Jonathan, then who did? I feel like this is a puzzle lacking a large amount of pieces...what kind of laws are there in Texas document wise? Will this be tight and quiet like Kyron's case or is there similar sunshine laws like in Florida? I'm just trying to figure out if we're going to know much of anything until this goes to trial. I guess that's if it goes to trial.

Jonathon's uncle stated in an interview about the mother having drug issues. No one knows anything about Jonathon's father and I don't know if we learned anything about the step-father's habits.
