Regardless, he definitely looks like a punk.

FYI I get the impression that the two were not "friends" but that Josh was a passive, accommodating individual and Moralez was the dominant punk. My brother is/was like Josh in that he became a taxi for classmates and basically used. Fortunately, he has never encountered someone as evil as Hermilo.

It has also been brought to my attention that the sexual advances might have happened but were initiated by Hermilo not Josh and when denies, Hermilo became violent. Of course, this is purely speculatory. Nonethless, Hermilo is an animal and may Josh rest in peace and God bless his family.

Update: Late Friday, Pearland police added a charge of tampering with physical evidence, the fourth one filed against Moralez in connection with Wilkerson's death.

Wilkerson's relatives, who could not be reached for comment, released funeral arrangements through police on Friday. A visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pearland's Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 Broadway. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sagemont Church, 11300 S. Sam Houston Parkway East in Houston.



I feel so terrible for Joshua's family; I hope that they know there are many, many people praying for them.

I completely agree with your post...my son is the same way---big heart, which I suspect Joshua had also---by the statement from his school and the multiple comments on articles---this is such a tragedy.

If this monster's statement, of Josh making a pass at him, is true, then wouldn't that make this a Hate Crime?

PEARLAND, Texas —A Pearland teenager who admitted to beating a fellow student to death went to see a movie after the act, his best friend and roommate Geoffrey Weis said Friday.

Pearland police said Hermilo Moralez killed Josh Wilkerson Tuesday. Weis said that same day they went to see the 3D cartoon "Megamind," and didn’t see anything different about his friend.

"I went to a movie afterwards with him and he didn’t act distraught or scared or anything," said Weis. "You would never think your best friend would kill somebody until he actually does."

The victim, 18-year-old high school student, Josh Wilkerson, was first reported missing on Tuesday. His body was eventually found beaten, bound, burned and left in the woods.

Police showed up at Weis’ front door after Wilkerson’s truck was found abandoned in a parking lot near Weis’ house.

"They seemed very strict, very hardcore with me," said Weis."They were like, ’do you know Milo?’"

How sad. The boy arrested for Joshua's murder was living with a friend and his family because his own parents had kicked him out ~ Probably for good reason, considering what he has now done. IMO
