I searched local news stories for anything about the person being held for murder and came up with nothing. I know their arrest date says June 16. Maybe they were being held and are now formally charged. But it is strange to me that they may have murdered someone and are being held on a million dollar bond and the murder doesn't seem to have been reported anywhere locally.

Hmm .... The person I'm seeing was arrested for "CAPITAL MURDER-TERROR-FEL." yesterday. His initials are EAD.
https://ijis.tarrantcounty.com/CJReports/Reports/JailedInmates/FinalPDF/01.PDF

According to vinelink, he is still in custody.

Looking at the daily booked in report for 6/16, I see two people who were arrested for capital murder, but their names are different (not EAD).

Either way, no MSM confirmation yet as far as I can tell.

If you use the CID# to look up the mugshot/etc in the "inmate search" portion of the site; that page says EAD was arrested on the 16th.

I searched news reports for EAD, EAM, EAMD. Nothing came up.

This page explains what that charge is: https://www.versustexas.com/criminal/murder-versus-capital-murder/amp/

It's a very serious charge to not have been reported in MSM anywhere....hmmm

I think the weirdness in dates is his being arrested in Arlington. vs. booked into Tarrant to await trial.

I can't find any news reports about this either.

I know trafficking is always a possibility but what if this was the real deal? Kid napped for trafficking, given some kind of sedative to calm her down, which ended up in an overdose. Kidnapper panicked and dumped the body. Kind of simplistic but possible, IMO.

Thank you - I see that now! Interesting ...: EAD's name is not on the 6/16 daily booked in report, yet if you go to the inmate search page and enter his name, it does say he was arrested on 6/16 on the charge of "HOLD FOR IMMIGRATION," and then on the charge of "CAPITAL MURDER-TERROR-FEL," but the arrest date for the latter charge is also 6/16.
https://ijis.tarrantcounty.com/inmatesearch/

It does say his bond amount for the capital murder charge is $1,000,000.00, whereas it was $0.00 for the immigration charge.

I am surmising that he was put on immigration hold on 6/16 but released, and then was arrested on the capital murder charge yesterday; had he been arrested for capital murder on 6/16, I would think there would be MSM reports on that, but like you, I haven't been able to find anything, either.

I wonder if they used cadaver dogs on all trash bins and dumpsters in the area?

From the link:
"What is Capital Murder in Texas?

...

The killing occurs during the commission or attempt of the following felonies: kidnapping, burglary, aggravated sexual assault, arson, obstruction or retaliation, or terroristic threat;" (BBM)

Maybe that's a factor in this individual being charged with capital murder, as opposed to murder?

Parents of several students who attended school with Kaytlynn have mentioned that Kaytlynn was attending summer school.

Enough so that I believe them.

While Kaytlynn had just completed 7th grade, summer school was being held at Trinity High School in Euless for both junior high students and high school students.

I wonder if LE has interviewed all the students/teachers to see if they have any helpful information.

Details on summer classes here:

The City of Arlington has a jail.

It's not set up for long term holding and inmates are transferred to Tarrant County if they aren't released.

From their website, note the word generally,

The jail is a holding facility. This means that prisoners are generally confined for less than 72 hours before being released or transferred to another facility.

I noticed on the list part of that website, it included a street address for most people but not for him. Just a city. I wonder if we can put that against the ME list for the 16th or the days surrounding it?

Wait, no I don't think we can. The city that's listed for him is in a different county. Idk who their ME is and idk if they have records online. We could try searching that city's news specifically I suppose.

BUT WAIT. He lives in a city in a diff county but is in jail in this county so the crime would've happened here, in this county (I live outside of Fort Worth. It's in a diff county from Dallas. Dallas crime news tends not to make the news here unless it's a really big deal.) But Bedford, Arlington, and Fort Worth are all in the same county. So if he's held in Tarrant County Jail, the crime must have been in Tarrant County. Right?)

Just to clarify; Dallas and the city listed as EAD's residence are in one county-Dallas County. Bedford, Arlington, the jail where he's being held, the ME's office with the online records are all in another county-Tarrant County.

Sorry, this is all stream of consciousness writing. I'm about to go to work and this case has been weighing heavily upon my mind.

I don't have a dog and am not familiar with dog parks. It looks as if the dog park at the apartment complex is a fenced area. Do people typically unleash their dogs so the pets can roam and play freely? If so, maybe that is why she tied the leash to the fence. It was a puppy and if there were other dogs there, maybe she wanted to somehow protect it from the other dogs. As to why she didn't keep the leash in her hand, I can think of a few things, one being texting on her phone. We don't know if she had her phone with her, but maybe she did. Another reason for not holding onto the leash could be due to lighting and smoking cigarettes. Yeah, I know we don't know if she smoked. If she was doing either of these things, maybe she thought it would be easier to just tie up the dog rather than slipping the leash around her wrist. If she wasn't doing either of these things and was just going to be gone for a few minutes, she probably thought it best to tie the dog to the fence and ask friends to watch it rather than letting it run loose in the park, fearing her friends might not watch it carefully enough. As for why she didn't take the dog with her, she might have thought it was just too much of a bother to do so. What all this means is that I don't find it odd that she tied her dog to the fence, no matter how much she loved it.

Just as a cautionary warning to new dog owners; please do not tie your puppy up to a fence or tree in order to protect them from other dogs. It leaves them incapable of escaping to safety.

Above is slightly OT and probably not related to what KC's motives were with her pup being tied up but I wanted to share this cautionary warning to new dog owners.

Idk the more I think about it, the more this entire story stinks. I'm getting the vibe that this is all a series of secondhand stories; "he said she said" through the grapevine stuff.

Based on the limited facts, I think the young lady used the dog park visit as a means of going somewhere else. I think she left the dog with some kids she knew and walked away to meet the person. I think the kids got tired of waiting and tied up the dog to the fence and left. I think it's just a question of where she went and what evidence points in that direction.

I went over some of the media reports again.

A poster here thought they saw cardboard near Kaytlynns body when viewing the landfill video. I'm sorry, I can't remember who it was.

Based on the information we received from TeamJustice last night regarding the ongoing carpet installation by the dog park, could this be tan carpet seen in the photo / video?

I went back and looked to see if I could find carpet, but didn't see anything.

I think she was separated from whatever she was covered/wrapped in though... possibly from moving all the garbage around. IMO, that's pretty much the only way that she was found... she was exposed.
