Text messages revealed she planned to go to the apartment complex swimming pool to meet the boy to buy marijuana, the document said.

The court papers also said detectives believe she was killed with a hammer and that investigators found a hammer with blood on it in the suspect's apartment.

At least now there might be justice ! Hope the perp is tried as an adult !

KC's memorial page is in full denial.... just b/c she was buying some pot did not make her a bad person. Time to face the truth and realize there are some very dangerous people out there... and not all of them are adults.
I for one do not want to see this perp get a slap on the wrist and let loose at 21.

I took it as she ran off when the dealer guys saw the other boy watching... later she says "I'm gonna go get the money" - sounds like she was a scrappy little thing and may have bitten off more than she could chew with the 16 year old!

Could that have just been the lure? Of course two boys killed a younger girl in Jersey just for her bike so it's possible.

I am just absolutely FLOORED. Also, I am not thanking BPD just yet. According to the affidavit, DNA of her blood was August 2nd.
 
No one is saying she was a "bad person"...she did make at least one very bad decision though. It should be more shocking somehow, than it is, to me. I would like to think that this sort of thing starts a but later...not at 14. :(

Parents really need to take off their blinders in general, imo, and admit that any child, even those involved athletics and honor societies for instance, could also be involved in illegal and/or dangerous behaviors. I think it all goes on far earlier and far more often than even a jaded cynic like me thinks. Jmo

I have a teen so I've googled it before...not because of her but someone else that she told me about. I still couldn't understand it and definitely couldn't explain it! Thanks Bravo!

My first instinct is always some sexual predator. Adult. Several shocking past cases allowed me to be open to the possibility that it was a kid.

But the drug connection? People suggested that and I felt that was wrong and insulting. This kid was so young and seemed so innocent to me. And she wasn't just experimenting. According to texts she was using and buying and making and dealing.

Very shocking to me. That's some sophistication on the part of such a little thing. And now she's dead. Damn.

So sad. My .02 is that a lot of parents don't always know what their children are doing.
Drug activity can occur in everything from a broken home to a seemingly stable home. Imo.
I still want this creep to fry... if not in this life-- then the next !

The person modding the page had a full statement that KC was not "into" anything, and she didn't do anything 'bad'.
Regardless-- KC didn't have to die .

Her poor friend is going to live with this guilt forever. Fourteen is such a vulnerable age. She was taken advantage of and targeted by this monster/child/soon to be adult suspect.

Ugh I just read the warrant. This is so senseless. I just don't understand and I'm still totally shocked she was doing and selling drugs. My brain is having a hard time computing this.
 
I'm also getting a "thrill kill" vibe about this.....if so -- those types are the most dangerous !
They can never be let out into society because they will most likely kill again.
