Well, I was totally wrong.
I didn't think it was going to be another kid that killed her. And I didn't think it was going to involve drugs.

I really thought it was going to be an adult that had been watching her, befriending her and grooming her. Hearing that a 16 yr old hit her with a hammer is devastating news. :cry:

I was surprised it was a minor but I've been suspicious it was an older boy she knew from the beginning. Murder at 16 is pretty brutal. Wondering if he was on some trippy drugs when he did it.

So, the other kids, that tied up the dog---I think they knew where she was going. She probably said she was going to get some pot, watch my pup, I'll be back.

The cops knew what was up for a long time. Remember when they searched an apartment at the very beginning? I think they knew this from jump but had to wait of tests and forensics, etc.

Only thing is if the kids knew all along that she went to see him I am shocked that it wasn't disclosed somewhere on social media after all this time. They must be really good at keeping secrets. Unless her "friendship" with this boy was a secret. Poor Kaytlynn.

I think they were very frightened. If he ever found out they knew, or told LE anything about where she was going, they could be his next victims. I bet LE told them to keep their mouths shut tight.

It is all in the Arrest Affidavit. Cell phone records. Kaytlynn's friend who was part of the marijuana deal who talked to police. This was some arrangement for kaytlynn and male friend of hers to make $300 and split it. They were on to this early. Meanwhile Kaytlynn was in a dumpster right behind the murderer's apartment until it was picked up on the 21st.

The Arrest Affidavit is only 13 pages. It is well worth the read.

In the affidavit it says a witness saw the text she exchanged with the suspect just before she vanished and LE learned of this the next day (June 20).

Probably not since they didn't treat it as an emergency and thought she was a runaway.

On June 19 they believed she had run away. They should have searched them the next day though.

Now we know. And now we know why the Family was so quiet. RIP little lady. So very sad.
