SAPD chief: Tale of kidnapped infant 'made up to cover foul play'

“We can say without a doubt that this was not a car theft, this was not a kidnapping,” SAPD Chief William McManus said Monday during an update into the Friday disappearance of King Jay Davila. “This was a staged event as we had said previously.”
[...]
“Even if you are not directly involved in this, if you are withholding information, if you have lied to the police, then we will charge you at the conclusion of this investigation,” McManus said.

Investigators said they have obtained details of what occurred from family members, but they are still looking “everywhere” to find King Jay.

“There’s one answer that we don’t have, and that is where is King Jay.”

Whoever tells LE first may get a better deal than others.

"The squeaky wheel gets the grease"

Someone needs to be running and not walking into LE office and start telling them where that baby is.

SAN ANTONIO - An arrest warrant affidavit reveals new details about the woman who San Antonio police believe was involved in the disappearance of an 8-month-old baby.

Police, for the first time, identified the woman by name Tuesday morning as Angie Torres, 45.

The affidavit includes details about the robbery which happened Jan. 6 at a Dollar General store on Castroville Road.

It said Torres entered the business with two other women and was seen by an employee, placing a package of razors into her purse.

The affidavit said when the store clerk confronted her, Torres took a swing at her, kicked her, then tried to hit her with her getaway car.

Once investigators took her into custody, a detective working the missing baby case involving 8-month-old King Jay Davila realized she was the woman wanted in that case, the affidavit said.

"Jasmine Gonzales, is distraught and "wants this thing closed yesterday.""

More strange wording. "this thing"--distancing from what's actually happened.

"closed" -- not baby found yesterday, not solved yesterday, but 'closed'.

I think she just means case closed. It didn't come across weird to me, but I live here and often ESL folks have difficulty with what they are trying to say in English. There is a bit of a language barrier here.

Here’s another thing, who knows what kind of abuse this baby might have been suffering all his life.

We so often see in later autopsy reports abuse, broken bones, etc. (“Little Jayden”, Sharon Mathews for example).

Shades of Lucas and others, moo.

Hopefully that's the baby and he's ook.. Rumor was that they sold the baby for meth..... It's not a nice option but better than other possibilities ...And it would explain the baby in the video
I would be totally shocked if the baby was sold for meth.
Drug addicts don't want other drug addicts kids, they have enough of their own.
