The Travis County Court Public portal does not give access to the docs and there is a gag order in place until the trial is over so MSM is also not accessing court docs and linking them for viewing.
Thanks...I've been spoiled by other trials with document dumps. No cameras makes this one doubly hard to follow.

Geez. Colin leaving the courtroom in Covid mask and dark glasses (he's in the khaki colored shirt). A media photographer walking backwards backs into a traffic blockade thingie and falls down. Colin basically steps over him and continues on! Screenshots from video here for those not on Twitter.

Colin Strickland testifies

Colin Strickland took the stand in Kaitlin Armstrong’s murder trial Friday afternoon.

He began by talking about his relationship with Armstrong. He called it a “sometimes tumultuous” relationship that was “at times extremely comfortable and loving.”

The State asked him about how he met Wilson and about when their brief romance took place. Strickland said their relationship was entirely platonic for about the first year they knew each other, but they went on a date in late 2021 when Wilson spent some time in Austin, at a point where Strickland and Armstrong had been broken up.

Strickland said he and Armstrong broke up because they got in a fight about Strickland going on a mountain bike ride with Wilson and some others after a race in Arkansas.

After Wilson left town, Strickland said he and Armstrong eventually got back together in December of 2021. The two had lived together during portions when they were broken up.

Strickland testified about Mo telling him of a phone call she received from Armstrong while Armstrong and Strickland were broken up, confronting Wilson about her relationship with Strickland.

“She was upset,” Strickland said of Wilson’s reaction.

Strickland said Armstrong had access to his email and social media passwords and therefore access to his text messages.

He also addressed a time in December of 2021 when he purchased two handguns after Armstrong told him she was paranoid about certain things, like going on bike rides alone in the woods and a homeless camp near their home.

The State asked if Strickland knew Caitlin Cash, the woman Wilson was staying with in town. Strickland said yes and spoke very highly of Cash.

Strickland testified about spending the day with Wilson on May 11, saying he dropped her off at Cash’s after they went to Deep Eddy and Pool Burger and never went inside the apartment.

His testimony will continue Monday.

This was awful and the second photographer that was in his cross hairs. He pushed a female photographer who was not in his way.

@alcaprari23

Now Colin is being asked to review a receipt from Pool Bar. Shows a number of alcoholic beverages and food. Colin Strickland's name is on the credit card receipt. A different receipt now with more beverages. Mo Wilson's name is listed on this receipt.

He wanted to welcome Mo to his city, yet appears too cheap to treat her to a pool meal and drink. This guy is something else. * My opinions.

At :57, more extensive clip of CS’s departure(!)

Elizabeth Vargas, Reporter Alex, and Matt Murphy recaps all at link above.

Wow -- the nerve of KA. A couple of days before trial on 10/30, the defense filed an "Application For Community Supervision" in the event she's convicted!

Also quick Q about why the audio of CS being questioned the next morning (on the body cam) wasn’t allowed to be played earlier. The defense objected on the grounds that it was hearsay and the judge agreed they should remove that audio. But how is CS relaying his own interactions with MW the day she was murdered considered hearsay? Anyone know?

If it’s body cam it should be released in my opinion. CS was giving a statement that has lined up so I’m not sure why that is considered hearsay. Watching NewsNation now and they said when they went to tell CS what happened that he looked shocked but KA was in the background with no reaction at all.

Community service for pre-meditated stalking and first-degree murder with illegal flight from the country?

Sure, Jan.

Did we know that KA and CS met on a dating app? I wonder which one. Something tells me CS would have been looking for something more casual (Tinder?) versus looking for long-term relationship (Match).
They met on Hinge according to this article

Cringe I feel like CS sure does think a lot of himself. The quality goods/repair his own clothing:
————

In 2019, back before Strickland had met Armstrong, he often worried that a deep emotional attachment could be counterproductive to his cycling ambitions. But that year, following his most successful racing season yet, he felt a renewed urgency to meet somebody he could get serious about. He downloaded the dating app Hinge, which touts itself as the anti-Tinder, geared toward singles looking for real connection instead of casual hookups. In October 2019, he found Armstrong.
They met for a glass of wine at the Meteor on South Congress, then went for a stroll along the boardwalk beside Lady Bird Lake, with the Austin skyline sparkling on the water. Though Strickland saw Armstrong as sweet and intelligent, and certainly thought she was attractive, he didn’t sense an immediate romantic connection.
Superficially, they seemed quite different. She didn’t share his eclectic interests in music and art. He bought quality goods and repaired his own clothing; she didn’t mind shopping at cheap chain stores. He grew up on an organic farm and thought deeply about food; she didn’t really cook. He went to a hippie-style Waldorf school; she grew up in Livonia, a middle-class suburb of Detroit.
During the first few months they dated, Strickland considered breaking it off before things got too far along. But Armstrong’s kindness, patience, and positivity kept him from cutting ties.

Well OK then, I'm coming for a couple of people, you know who you are!
