However, I have never heard of a yoga practitioner being violent, not to mention murdering anyone. It's not like joining a street gang, or hanging out in a dive bar.
Even the one yoga teacher I know of who died from a drug overdose, was a shocking case.
The only alleged crimes have been men having the wrong kind of love for their adoring female students...

When you practice yoga fully, there are 8 'parts', each of which is supposed to be studied fully to get the full benefit.
The physical poses (asanas) are just one part of those 8. Practiced alone they are just like attending a stretching class rather than practicing yoga I'm the traditional sense.
Lots of western 'yoga' only focuses on the poses, and perhaps with 'pranyama', which is breathing techniques.
I suspect she did yoga for show rather than the full real deal - pictures on Instagram standing on your head, acting enlightened etc.
However lot of people involved in the yoga community are resolving trauma of some sort, it's a journey and probably not one that people embark on if they are not searching for something. I can't knock that bit.
