So very sad. Prayers go out to all who loved him. Another little angel in Heaven gone too soon.

Ugh, so they said "well we can't say that every vehicle was checked"

Sorry but that should have been priority #1 to check each and every vehicle with as hot as it gets in cars in the summer. I don't understand how they didn't go through the parking lot with a window marker and check off each and every vehicle.

He did elaborate and say that with the number of volunteers, there is no way to ever know if every door handle was checked and every window looked into. I agree with him. When you have hundreds of volunteers from the public, you cannot follow them and check every step they take. This was an immediate search and the public are not professionals. You can't understand the incredible number of cars in this area.

This is so sad. If there was no foul play, he was alive when they first started looking for him.

Oh no! This is just terrible. LE and searchers will be haunted by this for a very long time, as will his family and the family who found him. Such a tragedy for all involved. Sad, sad ending.

If the tint is too dark to see inside volunteer calls for assistance and police take over getting hold of owners to open the car to check inside. As long as the view inside the car is clear, the volunteer can write a check mark on the window so that people know that car was searched. Unfortunately this is why many departments don't allow the public to help in searches.

But in THIS situation, they did nothing wrong. It is the Texas heat, with a toddler, in an incredibly busy area RIGHT off the highway. They have to search the moment it's called and they can't wait for anything. There is not a second of time to spend on anything but putting as many bodies in the area trying to find the child.

IMO, it's not even possible to search every car in that area. Not in that time frame.

I would think they would have asked EVERYONE to check their personal vehicles. Even if you think you locked your car when you were last in it, check anyway. Especially if it was a vehicle he was familiar with.

It came straight from LE in the presser that the child was found deceased in a vehicle not belonging to the family.

It's possible that he got in the vehicle after it was checked. MOO

Sarbesh was found deceased this morning shortly after 6 a.m. The investigation is ongoing. There were no obvious signs of trauma. Our hearts go out to the family during this difficult time.

The downside of remote keys. They probably pushed the button to unlock and there is no way to know if it was already unlocked.

I do hope they are searching (I assume they are) for any video in the area to trace his steps.
