Something I wondered about after reading the article below is if it is possible that the crimes committed against SS, MG and Fabian were motivated by the courtroom fight in October. According to Fox news, MG also joined SS’ brothers when they attacked VR. SS also attempts to help them when a woman jumps between VR and her brothers and tries to pull her away from them. SS appears to grab or try to grab the woman’s hair to drag her away from VR when another woman comes from behind her and locks her arms around her. SS defends herself back by aiming for the woman’s face, eyes and hair. The officers quickly pull them apart and check on SS while the other woman is escorted out of the courtroom while still exchanging words with SS. You could definitely feel the tension in the court as VR, the two woman and their friends and family glared at SS and her kin. VR in my opinion wears a particularly evil or mean look as he gave one last glance across the courtroom. This event could make not just SS’ brothers but both SS and MG targets too because they were both involved in the fighting.

Just conjecture or a theory though and could absolutely be wrong.

I don't see Savanah in the video. She was big and pregnant at the time. This was only two months ago.

Everyone is gonna look like MG because everyone has those Edgar haircuts.

Has anything in MSM been said about cameras at Savanah's apartment? Any statements from neighbors there who may have seen them leaving on Friday night or early Saturday morning?

To me that's a big missing piece of the puzzle - along with cell phone data. If MG was planning on meeting up with someone or even talking to certain people in the relevant timeframe, surely that's going to play out eventually?
To my knowledge, the only MSM reports attributed to "neighbors" thus far pertain to Savanah being physically assaulted by Guerra.

After Soto's disappearance, a neighbor of Soto and Guerra claimed they witnessed the boyfriend 'arguing and beating her almost every day.'

'I witnessed him beating her and kicked her downstairs while she was unconscious,' the unnamed person said, adding that 'he kicked her body and face' and 'she needed stitches.'

"Savanah was last seen leaving her apartments at Valencia Lofts off Grissom Road around 2 p.m. Friday."

It doesn't say whether it was a camera or a sighting by a neighbor.

I'd never heard this term before (and never would have thought of Seattle Mariner Edgar Martinez!):

Often described as a bowl-like cut with a line-up and tapered sides, the Edgar is often associated with the modern ranchera/o aesthetic known as “takuache”and the “trokiando” (from the word truck) trucking scene. (8 Mar 2023)

What got me thinking it is cartel/mafia related and that he was just in over his head is the mentioning by a cousin of torture and the ruthless killing of an innocent young mother. I just don’t think some young punk or jealous lover walked into their apartment kidnapped and killed them.

Editing to add that torture as of now has NOT been confirmed by LE or mainstream news reports.

I can't imagine what big guy would be hiding in his shirt. He wasn't concerned about hiding his face or his vehicle, and if he was transporting something he felt needed to be concealed he could have left it in his truck when getting out, or handed it off to the person in the victim's vehicle.

Just belly flab imo
I’m from a little town just 30 minutes from the Coastline of Louisiana, so I’m familiar with bellies like that. I too believe it’s just a belly.

But for comic relief:
Maybe he had a job as Santa somewhere earlier that night and was still in part costume. Lol

I don't know about this belly. I think he is a big guy, but, still seems like either stuff is in the shirt or a Vest is under it.
Not that it really matters..its just odd.

I think the article has to be wrong. Shotgun blasts are going to be messy. Even a .410 will leave a very messy crime scene.
I'm wondering if the location of behind the right ear is significant. Perhaps that location would be used with a small caliber gun like a .22? Sorry to be so graphic but they could bleed out in a wooded or hidden area and not have left as much mess when transported.

Thi is turning into a horror story.

The victim's street name was 'flacko' (skinny) and his social depicts him wearing his pants low. I'm inclined to believe his appearance in the back seat of the vehicle was due to positioning him in the car. Also, the relative's tiktok came out very early -- long before any police/ME reports available. JMO

Kens5 San Antonio News reporter Megan Reyna broke the story when vehicle/bodies located on 12/26. This was her live report from the scene. <modsnip: rumors>

A small caliber handgun, sure. But the article I was referring to said “shotgun blasts to the head”. I do not see that being a clean death, even with a small caliber shotgun such as a .410. I think the article is incorrect when saying shotgun blasts. But that’s just MOO.

I agree with you. IMO this was an execution.

I wondered if there was a source/news link to that statement that could be shared here. Or is there a FB page? Thanks.
The cousin that stated it said something about the male victim being in really bad shape, and she concluded "torture". LE certainly would not have discussed it with a "cousin". Can't be used on WS.

Fox News identified him so I imahine they had to verify their claim beforehand.

SS is believed to be the young woman in the Jean jacket with dark hair yelling “beat his *advertiser censored* up” and then gets in an altercation with a taller woman in a black hoodie. The guards do break the two woman apart and seem to comfort and be protective of SS or the woman in the jean jacket, possibly because she is around 7-months pregnant. The other woman is guided and told to exit the courtroom while SS is allowed to stay and advocate for her brothers as they are surrounded by officers and placed under arrest.

He was?

Those participating were charged.
I didn't think he was there. I was looking etc. I kept looking when the bodies were first discovered and I had read the NY Post article too. The NY Post article is not saying that he participated in the brawl.

His name is in the article, but it says the Soto family participated in the brawl.

The Express-News article detailed his criminal history did not mention the brawl as part of his criminal history.

He would have been arrested if he had participated. Seeing that he was already on probation, he would have also been charged.
To be fair, there appears to be 6 individuals involved in the brawl surrounding VR. At least one of the individuals, a woman, tries to defend and pull VR away. It seems along with her and possibly one other person, perhaps MG, she was able to avoid getting arrested out of that group of 6 since all those who were arrested, 2 adults and 2 juveniles, were males.

Two other woman towards the right of the camera also get involved in a physical altercation, however, they too seem to avoid getting arrested.

I need some help on the courtroom video:

Who is the man in the white shirt who is inside the prisoner box beating someone?

Who is the handcuffed woman in light jeans inside the prison box who is seen removed from it an brought to the front table (I assume this is the defense table).

There seem to be several men wearing black T-shirts. Do they belong to either faction?

There seem to be several men wearing jeans and dark blue T-shirts with the scales of justice logo on the back. Are they employed by the court?

Can we tell which ones are pro-Rivas and which ones are pro-Soto?

I see the woman in the jeans jacket and the taller woman in the black hoodie. I can imagine the jeans jacket woman is the pregnant Savannah. Do we know the identity of the taller woman?

In the brief footage, I don't see anyone resembling the Big Guy.

I had to zoom in quite a bit and rewatch it a few times so I might be wrong.

I believe the woman in the jeans and black shirt is an ally of VR. She appears to try to protect him from the fists heading his way and is trying to drag him away from the center of the brawl.

The young man in the white shirt appears to be an ally of the Soto family, who are wearing the black shirts and sweatshirts with the justice symbol on them, based on the appearance that he too is joining them in fighting VR.

The woman in the black sweatshirt appears to have attacked SS/woman in Jean jacket when SS lunged towards VR’s friend/ally and tried to grab at that young woman’s hair. IMO she seemed to be protecting her friend.

My apologies for my inability to name everyone. Also, I think the youngest member of the Soto, the young boy in the black shirt with the justice symbol on it and who is not as tall as all the other guys, doesn’t necessarily seem to want to get involved in the fight but rather help his older brother/family member who was put in a chokehold by VR’s lawyer.

The judge said everything happened very fast and that the Soto family was able to lunge very quickly into the prisoner’s box after they were provoked by a gesture VR made towards them. He pressed the panic button since security in the courtroom appeared understaffed and officers were getting overwhelmed.

Sorry I hope this helps.

Watching the video and the follow-up comments by the Judge re. powder-keg, I was deeply saddened. In these two cases, we are talking about victims and a defendant ranging from ages 15-22. They are kids! Why this life? :(

I've read that SS /MG relationship began in school and her family's initial beef with MG was that he was older and their first fear became a reality when SS dropped out of school. Next it was the DV, and now her life is over -- MG's too.

I'm sorry these kids do not view education as a guarantee to a better life than street hustling. Reportedly, ES lost his life over $60. Really? I truly hope this tragedy wakes up some of these teens (and their parents too). JMO

I think the white shirt guy is tall enough it could be MG.

The news report says that there were several inmates in the dock there awaiting their court action, too. The other photos show the bailiffs removing several men in orange jumpsuits from the scene as well as VR. Not a good scenario. It must be pretty awful to have to work in these courtrooms in volatile conditions like that. I wonder if the judges can put a limit on the number of family members allowed to view the proceedings, or better yet, do it mostly by video conferencing.
