Both SM and WM would take Sherin to appointments.
She advised them to never force feed Sherin. When to back off when Sherin was not enjoying food. She would never recommend force feeding milk to a child at 3am in the morning.

WM recorded some of the appointments on his phone.
Therapist felt she was making some progress with her feeding.

Defence now questioning the therapist...

Asked if it was hard to get Sherin to comply. Yes.
They had goals with her feeding. This therapist was not monitoring her weight. A nutritionist would do this job.
Started off with regular visits then went to bi-weekly/monthly due to insurance.

It was hard for the therapist to gauge weight gain/loss in a child, unless it was very noticeable.

Another therapist, this time for physical/development delays.
Thought Sherin was like a tiny baby doll, she was extra cute and they all felt lucky to treat her.
She was walking before she came to her first appointment.
She had just turned 2.

She had not been walking for long, still walking like a much younger child, had shoe inserts. Had movement insecurities. Needed help with obstacles.
Sherin loved a baby doll they had. Used the toys to make their tasks more fun.
Nothing physically wrong, just late development.

They set goals, strengthening, jumping, balancing, stepping up/over etc. Made great progress.
Didn't fall while at therapy, they would have recorded. They even recorded any near-miss. None recorded for Sherin.

(guess they are going to blame the therapists for the broken bones)

They always stay nearby, hold her hands, assist or light touch in case they lose their balance.
The parents missed numerous appointments, went long periods without seeing Sherin, many no-show or cancelled appointments. This would have had a huge impact on Sherin's progress.

WM was at one session but did not speak much.
Defence now.

This therapist saw Sherin 7 times.
She gave Sherin & parents "homework".

This therapist took over from the last one when she changed roles. This therapist saw Sherin for 6 months, first half of 2017. Did a re-evaluation of Sherin when she took over as physical therapist. Set some new goals, running/jumping/climbing/small stairs.

Sherin was shy but sweet, enjoyed playing. Loved toys and activities. A joy to work with. Loved a certain animal puzzle, so they used that in her physical activities to make them fun for her.

Never saw Sherin fall. If she did, it would have been recorded. They were always very cautious, even close calls would have been recorded. None for Sherin. Her legs "never snapped in half" or broke while they worked with her.
WM was present at one session, waited in the waiting room, little input.
Had many missed appointments. Jan - May it was recommended she come once a week yet only came 8 times.

By May she had met most her goals, but had not quite made it to her age in development. Only goal left was running and she was almost there, so dropped appointments to once a month. Despite missing appointments, she had made great progress and caught up very well. Most kids take longer.
