We rest in God, we pray, we have family vigils, we're just always praying and only in God do we find some peace for our aching souls." says Jose Vallejo, uncle of missing Suzie Escobedo and the spokesperson for the family.

A full calendar year has passed since Suzie Escobedo's family last saw her face. A face of a mother, daughter, sister and friend.

To this day, no concrete answers have been released on her whereabouts.

Leading the investigation is Calhoun County Sheriff's Department, who in the past months, Newscenter 25 has reached out on not one, but three different occasions-- all with a minimal response.

However, in September of 2018, a month into the investigation, was the last time a comment was received from Sheriff Bobbie Vickery saying,

"Because it is an ongoing investigation, many times when the information comes to us we have to be very careful what information is allowed to get out because it can jeopardize something like this, and we want nothing more than to get closure or justice if needs be."

After extensive search parties last August, with aid from Texas Equusearch and the Texas Rangers, the small community of Seadrift continues to join the family in their time of need. A public Facebook group, now has more than 2,000 people hoping for some answers.

"It's such a hard time, hard to accept the idea that she is not with us right now. There's just a lot of questions, and not many answers." adds Vallejo.

The family continues to work with investigators, in hopes of bringing her back home, and add they are forever grateful for the work done so far.

"For the community, I just want to say, if you know anything, or hear anything, please help us find Suzie" pleads Vallejo.

Suzie Escobedo: One year later

Wasn’t sure which thread to post this on...
I came across Suzanna's profile and I think she could be a match to Parker County Jane Doe. The PMI for Doe is 9 months to 2+ years and Suzanna disappeared 5 months prior to Doe's discovery. It didn't seem like enough time for Suzanna to become that far decomposed but I think it's not completely impossible. JMO. Her features are so similar to the recon of the UID; nose, lips, chin/jawline. (no exclusions listed for either girl) What do you all think?

Details of Disappearance
Escobedo was last seen at her mobile home in the 100 block of Loop Road in Seadrift, Texas on August 2, 2018. The last time anyone heard from her was at 1:00 p.m.

Her husband reported her missing at 7:00 p.m. that same day, after he arrived home and found their four-month-old baby alone in the house, drinking from a bottle. Escobedo also left her cellular phone, keys and other belongings behind, and has never been heard from again.

Her family stated she is a loving mother and would not have abandoned her baby and her seven-year-old son. She had worked as a waitress at the La Terraza restaurant, but stopped working after she had her baby. Escobedo was also close to her mother, who was visiting Mexico at the time of her disappearance.

Authorities do not believe she left of her own accord; they think she came to harm. Her case remains unsolved.

Three year's later Suzie Escobedo's case sparks plans for a protest - Crossroads Today

August first will mark three year’s Suzie went missing.

Her family is planning to have a protest to demonstrate their frustration with authorities.

They want to see more action in Suzie’s case.

“This year, that’s why we are going to do things right. We are going to denounce the authorities, because they haven’t done their job…They still have more things to do with the county and it just bothers me,” said Vallejo.

It's been almost 4 years. I wonder what happened to her children? Her husband's social media makes no mention of them (understandable if it were me). Praying for this family for closure.

Suzie Escobedo went missing from Seadrift, Texas, on August 1, 2018. She is still missing, and her case has become stagnant six years later.
