I did that last year, too, checked youtubes and read medical texts about different gaits. I think I have long since convinced myself that SP was faking it. There is one sequence in the released surveillance video where SP is approaching and crossing the hallway from the double dutch doors to the auditorium doors, and the gait is simply not there. In the other segment where SP is rounding the corner is where the gait is pronounced, and SP knows he is on camera because he had just looked straight at the SW port cochere camera when he was in the main hallway. Fake Gait, intended to implicate other(s), *who would have that ability* = JMO, subject to change.

IMHO, SP had one hammer. A hammer is a wieldy device and it would be very uncomfortable for SP to haul around two different hammers in a tactical vest.

The pic in post 144 has some blur because of SP's movement at the time. So it's hard to say definitively that it's a claw hammer, but it sure looks like one to me. I think to go beyond claw hammer to specialized breaching tools is not in keeping with Occam's Razor, which I heartily believe in.

I'm much more interested in that white stripe. Is it painted into the design? Is it white tape? Is it a price sticker? (that last one is doubtful, because a price sticker wrapped around a small diameter like that is not going to be scannable).

I get what you are saying regarding Occam's Razor which is why I think a tactical hammer is much more likely in a tactical vest than a carpenter hammer. It fits and is perfectly understandable and expected with the vest and other gear.

After all, SP is covered in protective gear from head to toe. LE never tells us what tools the SP carries that were used to fatally harm Missy.

Owutatangledweb, you have some great ideas. I hope you stick around even though most of us watched the gait videos last year. I watched them again today. I'm wondering if the videos would be useful in Kaneeka Jenkins death investigation in Chicago when she walked into the Hotel freezer as she does seem to have walking issues that may not be caused solely from intoxication.

I am also a firm believer in Occam's razor. When combined with the Swat stuff, however, Occam's razor may cut both ways in this case.

As another poster mentioned, the potential specialized hammer fits the Swat gear. This could support the murderer deciding to target the victim, then shopping for Swat gear either in person or online as a disguise. The murderer is also going to need an up close and personal type weapon.

They then see the specialized hammer and electronically or literally toss it into their shopping basket on the way out. In this case, Occam's razor would still apply as the specialized hammer was right next to the Swat stuff and easy to grab or click on.

I wish the hammer could be identified. A real Swat breaching hammer could well imply a more exclusive, professional gear vendor (smaller in number) than a "tactical hammer" not used by professionals but sold along side other cool looking pseudo martial arts weapons, swords, massive bowie knives etc.

It's funny how certain words and or phrases can strike a small match in one's brain.

If the gait was fake and SP was trying to emulate it to possibly put the blame on someone else, who would that be?

Would someone from the Bevers clan emulate their Dad's walk to thrust possible suspicion on him? I don't think so, but could it be someone who knew RB well and hated him, or maybe someone who hated the entire Bevers clan? Someone who worked for him perhaps?

You just answered your own question, "Strong as she was". She was stronger then he was. The perpetrator was not even walking very well. All indications are that MB was a lot more physically fit then he was. Even if she wasn't a physical threat to him, which she probably was. She was at very least a threat to his freedom, if she identified him.

Hi Kaaboom, hey, if I could answer my own questions I wouldn't be here! So do you think that Missy went up to him and tried to identify him/challenge him, bearing in mind that she would not have been able to assess his age, strength etc? Having had quite a few tussles with men over the years! I think most men can pretty easily overpower most women unless the man is very impaired and/or the woman has some martial arts training which utilises skill rather than strength.

Certainly possible that this is some random violent, drugged up/inebriated wacko burglar but he has gone to great lengths to not only disguise himself but also to protect himself as if he expects a fight, and wants to prevent any victim gathering dna through scratches or hairpulling. And apparently no sexual assault as far as I know? All he's achieved is a brutal killing which will attract enormous attention to him.

Interesting that Brandon Bevers is talking again, suggests things are on the move possibly, especially with him involving his children. I am not in the US, can't see the interview on any website yet, does anyone have a link please? Thank you.

I wonder if SP went to COC to sexually assault MB and she put up a fight that enraged SP, or she recognized SP so he had to kill her?
