If something is going on I would not expect any comment from MPD until later if at all honestly. I know from Beverly Carter case that Night Time Warrants are written for a specific reason and this could be what is happening. Safety being one. Also, I doubt that considering the nature of this being the first murder in Midlothian in 9 yrs iirc that they would do training at this time to get the whole town in a buzz and on the 1 mo anniversary of the Murder? ... unless it is to cause attention to be drawn to that area while they actually are at another area. :thinking: Something is up maybe not an arrest but something was/is going on for a reason. JMHO

Agree. Glammie and DentalQueen were talking about seeing the 10 LE cars at 7:35PM CDT which is now 3 hours ago? And 7:35PM would be just about sunset or dusk as it gets dark. And this is a weeknight, schools and workday normal, people home in the evening, not out somewhere as much. Not a local, but maps look like it is a staging area for all points everywhere 287 and 67, as though they may fan out in case whoever they are seeking tries to run for it? All MOO.

I apologize in advance if I am reposting duplicate information. Tonight our local ABC news station (channel 8) at 10p had Bevers' Murder coverage. They stated that it has been one month today since Missy's murder with no arrest and went on to say that Midlothian PD says they will be providing an update this week.

I didn't really see that, but I'd like to know at 1:53 why was the camera already on when the perp came through the door. I thought the cameras were motion activated. What am I missing? TIA

There is a door standing open further up the hall. So apparently he had been walking down the hall opening doors prior to entering room 12. He was probably in room 12 briefly enough that the camera did not go back into standby mode before he exited again which is when the portion of the video we see begins at 1:51 marker.

Per the map, the bevy of police cars were apparently gathered in the area of the Midlothian Conference Center. I wonder if they were there in relation to something at that location, either police cars of people attending or working the gathering, or for some sort of police escort before and/or after.

BTW, the drizzle earlier has ended and it's been clear for some time.

I am new to the site and live in the small town MB is from. I keep watching the video of SP, just after they appear to be looking into camera. It appears to me that they may have pulled a cell phone out and glanced at it and had it in their right hand as they began to walk away from the door. It looks like I can see the screen light on in their hand. Does anyone else see this as a possibility? I do not know the family and don't recall every seeing them about town. All comments are my personal opinions n and/or thoughts.

Re: Mt Zion i checked the tax roll and only found 4 or 5 houses there didnt reconize any names and there is a cemetary as well. I dont know if MPD would be out doing training at 10 at night but I could be wrong just never heard of it...

I called the CBS affiliate and was told media was aware of all the police vehicles but no one knew what was going on.

This killer(s) planned ahead and was prepared. The killer or person who hired them is surley amoung the limited number of people who knew Missy, her schedule, had at least a bit of knowledge about the church's layout, habbits of campers and likely arrival times, where Missy parked and the time she arrived to prepare for class. How many people can that be???
