Quick question......Does anybody think yesterday's Presser was scheduled in advance? To coincide with the 1 month mark? They could of released the Car pic at any point the last few weeks. Why yesterday at the Presser? Maybe I am reading way to much into that but again I think the car pic is either a red herring or way more important then LE led us to believe. I mean he specifically mentioned social networking sites. [I don't consider WS social media] but anyway was he trying to actually throw us a bone and keep us busy or have LE exhausted all there options with the Altima and really needs the publics help?

BB was out of town on a fishing trip before MB changed the camp from outdoors to indoors. And for those of you that think the perp would have killed her even if she didn't go inside, after examining the perps movements, I just don't see he/she running her down in the parking lot.

Most believe she always went inside the church no matter the weather so that her campers could use the restroom or get water. But I see what your saying

I don't think they really need our help identifying the car and its owner. They may need our help collecting more evidence to successfully charge the owner of that car with murder, IMO. We can fill in the gaps so they have a better case against him/her.

And the other reason they held the press conference was, in my opinion, to chastise the public for crucifying certain innocent people on social media (i.e., BB and CT, although he didn't come out and say those names specifically).

Possibly to buy them time while they wrap up their investigation.

That didn't give me any confidence that they're wrapping this thing up.

JMO, they sounded a little whiny there. They're in charge, they allocate their resources. They should take responsibility for going down a wrong path. Not blaming people that are trying to help, however Ill conceived their help might have been.

Having said that, I don't think I've seen more misinformation (talking about sites other than WS) since about 1:00 a.m. at my last fraternity party (many years ago). Don't envy them having to wade through it all. They might want to put one of those Jr. LE guys (forgot what they call them) on following up the more sketchy ones.

So everyone agrees the Altima's plates would have been easily read from the gun store. But LE is making it one of their last, important pieces to clear through. Is the car stolen?

Regarding the lack of clarity of the license plate on the Nissan: there are many products available (that should be illegal, iyam) that prevent clear photographs :banghead:

Search for photo-blur, anti-photo, laser shield license plate covers...

Only if the license plate didn't have a special cover.

Why don't you get approved by the mods to be an insider to the case. That way we can accept your statements with little question. I believe your statements BTW.

I know nothing about the case, so I'm not an insider. I'm a friend of the Bevers and the Cozines. I lurked here to make sure they weren't being lied about. (What would have I done should I had seen that? Sigh) I should have just looked, saw that people had opinions but weren't vicious, and got out of here. Lesson learned.

I truly appreciate all of you who are sleuthing this case to help. I mean that in ways I can't express. But I'm too emotional to read anything that goes against what I know is truth or what I feel is truth, and that makes me a lousy contributer here.

Thanks btw42 :-)

We want your input. That's why I suggested you get verified.

Give our condolences to BB and his family. For some odd reason, I could always kind of relate to him (frankly, he reacted much the same way I probably would have, and caught a lot of heat for that). He's getting it from all sides. He talked about getting his daughters help. I'd say make sure he's got someone to turn to as well.

How do you know he wasn’t grabbing and piling things to take to a vehicle? He would have had at least 20 minutes to do that (from 4:00AM to 4:20AM). Why should he in a hurry, if he didn’t know she was coming? He probably thought he had hours, before anyone would arrive, or like you said, maybe he was looking for something specific, and didn’t find it.

Per multiple msm sources, police stated they felt she was targeted. So the police "feel" (according to the article), missy was targeted. That indicates to me that the police believe the perpetrator DID know she would be there. But you are right-I don't know that there wasn't a pile of church loot to be taken out to the car. I guess it just seems illogical for that to not be mentioned by police if robbery was a motive they were considering. And again (like previously written)-imho only.

I never suspected BB.

I must not go to the right forums, FBs, Twitter accounts. I have not heard godforsaken things about him at all. Yes, when anyone who is married is killed the first one they have to rule out is the spouse. It's sad but in most cases it does turn out to be the spouse. I think he has been treated well compared to the way some people, in his circumstances, fare.

I don't make a lot of comments here, but I do read every post. WS has been pretty decent whenever suspecting someone could have involve, net. That said, there are several other sites or comments after articles I have encountered that have picked apart the family with such cruelty that I can only shake my head and feel glad they were not my friends. No matter who any of us may suspect, we do not hold all the facts nor know of the evidence available and our assumptions can very well be completely wrong. That said, anything we list as an opinion should be made with the assumption we can be wrong as well as possibly be right.

And for the record, a few of the sites I saw that were smearing the family members have closed their pages to public.

Your presence is welcome to stick with us, if you so choose, Honeybee85. I personally am grateful for any locals who are willing to offer their viewpoints and give us a picture of what the people close to Missy are like.

Seems to me that everyone is under suspicion, no matter if they are a suspect at this time. Understandably, we cannot close our minds to the possibility that someone close to Missy may have committed this crime, but also that there are so many other possibilities that make more sense (at least to me). Another person's opinion is no more nor less likely than my own.

The clothing this perp chose is one of our biggest obstacles, it seems. How did the perp arrive and where was his mode of transportation? And why murder with such vengeance?

All JMO and speculating aloud here.

Anyone have an idea why LE compared this case to the Colton Case? No mention of gangs in the media as possible suspects.

Not from around here, right? ????????? It's Kaufman County. Eric Williams and wife murdered an ADA and DA and DA's wife. He gained entry to the DA's home by costuming up much like the perpetrator we're discussing. ADA was shot dead in the street on his way to courthouse. The murders escaped by driving away from the scene and killed DA and wife a few weeks later. Eric was previous county employee, who felt wrongly fired. These folks have been tried and convicted.........

There is really no evidence (actual evidence) to support the robbery theory. Nothing, as far as we know, was taken from the church. LEO stated they believe Missy was targeted. And the method in which she was killed (puncture wounds, presumably made with the hammer we see on video) indicates something more personal as well.

I have had my own horrible misconceptions about BB and it wasn't until I was speaking with a friend about a family member of mine that I realized "typical behavior" is not so easy to define.

It's so easy to grasp at straws and attempt to put together what we consider to be "logical" pieces of a puzzle that makes absolutely no sense...human nature.

But, once again, we don't all react the same to every situation and there are a whole lot of variables that are a driving force to why we respond the way we do: emotional stress, lack of sleep, illness, life experiences...the list goes on and on.

At the end of the day, I probably make a horrible detective, and most of us here may be blown away when it comes time for trial.

Prayers for Missy's family and I am so sorry for your loss.

I really wish I would have stepped back and paused before posting some JMO's, especially with the new info.

I hope that the police are closer to the perp than we realize. Whoever did this deserves the top penalty, whether TX chooses death or life without parole.

The whole car thing is unusual to me. It's seen at a business a half mile away from the church more than two hours before Missy even arrives. LE wants to talk to them. What does LE think they may have seen? So maybe there's more to this? Did another car arrive with the Nissan? Could the store have picked up cell phone info that somehow connects to Missy? Did the car drop off someone? Any other ideas why some random car seen hours before the murder could connect to Missy?

Another thought! What time did Missy leave her house that morning? Could it have been two hours earlier than we believed?

Agreed. Where was the grab bag or a church hand cart or dolly to carry AV equipment to the window or door of exit.

BBM: That's exactly what does make you an insider, you're a friend of the Bevers and the Cozines. :peace:

Different topic: has anybody else noticed that one of the icons for a smiley face  is the same whether you use the word "smile" or "loser" :loser:? :( :not good:

MOD NOTE: Some posts have been removed. Opinions will vary. That is fine. So long as they are expressed respectfully and within TOS have at it.

Address the post, NOT the poster, agree to disagree when needed. Scroll and roll when you must.

Remember, the focus here is Missy Bevers and her murder, not one another. Nobody is going to get a gold star for being "righter" than the next guy.

Thanks,
