no, i think the frumpy jealous wife perp is in self-denial and has blocked this crime from her mind and is going on with her business today as if nothing happened and as if she has no association with this crime whatsoever. i believe the perp is going out of her way to avoid seeing anything related to this crime in an effort to avoid any association with it and ownership of it. this was a crime of temporary rage and now the victim is out of her way the perp's way - so the perp wants to go back to being "normal" and thus avoid any and all reminders of the crime. this means turning off the TV when reports come on and purposely not reading the local paper and internet on the murder etc. think of a combination of the following - "ostrich" mentality, a compartmentalization of different realities, self-denial (like O.J. Simpson). in her own mind she has nothing to do with this crime and is far away from it and she goes out of her way to distance herself from it.

I like that scenario better.

Heck, I think it's common to feel creeped out after watching the suspect in the video & knowing what is going to happen next--PLUS---the suspect hasn't been arrested yet.

But tomorrow is Monday (wink, wink).

No worries...
Fingers crossed a judge has an arrest warrant on his/her desk waiting to be signed first thing in the morning!

I would be very nervous right about now if I were the perp. Tick tock tick...

I'm not a 911 operator, but we had someone who posted earlier on the thread who was a 911 operator. Posted that it was not uncommon at all to receive 2 calls from the same scene at the same time. They posted they could often hear the other person calling 911 in their call and their coworker talking to the 2nd person. Says it happened in domestic issues too. Someone calling from the bedroom and the other spouse calling from a different room.
I was randomly assaulted on a busy city street. It was swift and took so many people by surprise. I called 911 as did a woman who came to my assistance. There was suddenly a man at my side who was also talking to 911. I was grateful to both of them since I didn't know if I would be able to hold myself together to get the information coherently to 911. There was also a young man who had managed to get a pic of the assailant on his phone. It's comforting to know that people like to help. You hear so much of those that just look the other way. So, I can see 911 getting many calls on the same issue.

I totally agree with what you're saying, and I'm sure panic and adrenaline played a big role in the campers' reactions. I just assumed (I know what they say about that) that the campers who called 911 had to have at least crossed paths if they were all there for a 5:00am class. I can imagine 911 receiving several calls from different homes if a neighbor's house is on fire, or in a domestic situation where one person is hiding in one part of the home. It just strikes me as odd that two people called at the same time in this particular situation. Jmo

Which came first? The call to 911 or the call to Missy's husband?

:grouphug: I'm so sorry! That must have been very traumatic. And for people calling 911 - the more, the better.

Just came back....is there news of a possible perp? TY

I wondered that too! I haven't seen the call to Missy's husband mentioned in the timelines, but I have seen several posts that said the husband was called before 911. Maybe one camper called the husband and two others called 911?

I'm so glad you had so many sweet strangers stop and help you! There is still lots of good in this world, thank goodness!

You know there is one thing that I want to clarify about 911 calls that I think the poster-dispatcher missed my point about and its this: one "benefit" of wearing a police or SWAT type of gear is that this disguise may deter some witnesses from calling 911 if they see this impersonator on the scene of a crime. Like yeah, the cops are already on it.

I know that I wouldn't call 911 if I already see a cop there.

There are many reasons why this suspect could've benefitted from this Police impersonation. What I mentioned above is just one of them.

Big QQQ still is, how did the camper know Missy's Husbands number? Missys cell would have been with her, presumably, unless she left it in the truck. JMO

True, but why would others? Because they did not see the imposter cop. JMO

I am thinking it was still in her truck. With workout clothes being tight, no pocket to hold her phone. She probably had a jacket on with a pocket but my guess it was in her workout bag.

Yeah, I can see that now too. I would have thought cops were already on the scene seeing the police on the vest.

Idk. If I was the perp, I would probably visit Websleuths to catch up on quick updates or to see what the public thinks. But I would probably log off once the police come to raid my home. Jmo.

Kristi Stout, the sister of Bevers' husband Brandon, who was out of state on a fishing trip when his wife was killed inside a Midlothian church Monday morning, spoke at length with NBC News about her sister-in-law's death, the investigation into her murder and what may have led someone to kill the beloved mother of three.

Stout said her mother, Missy Bevers' mother-in-law, called her at about 5:30 a.m. Monday and said she'd been told Bevers had been in a crash. While she went to be with Bevers, she asked Stout to go to her brother's home and take care of the couple's three daughters.

Kristi Stout, the sister-in-law of a slain fitness instructor, spoke with Dateline's Kerry Sanders Thursday, recalling how she and her family found out about the death of Missy Bevers and what they told her three daughters.

A short time later, Stout said she received another call.
"An officer called my brother and said that Missy had passed," Stout said.

As far as I know, we haven't been told when the husband was called. I'd love a link if someone has it.

OK. Maybe. But If I were the camper, I'd had used my own phone to call 911. Then I might look for BB's # in Missy's cell. Unless I thought that he should be notified before EMS. Just strange. But maybe we do not know the actual timeline of calls made. Maybe someone else called 911 and this camper knew BB's # and called it. JMO

If you go with the Bonnie and Clyde theory, well that opens up to an easier escape for the perp, which would make sense. He could slip out the back, to the car, get in the driver's seat and drive Bonnie to the GC class?

Just hoping they're pinging those phones, right Dex? lol!

Is it possible to see a floor plan of the church? Someone posted earlier that when the perp stopped to look at something on the wall, they may have been looking at a floor plan showing emergency exits etc. It would definitely help me to get a better mental picture of the church. Does anyone know how to find these things? Thanks.

Do we know when the church was built? I know here in the UK most planning applications are public record (I look at them all the time, because I'm nosy!) and typically include floor plans. But I don't know how far back they go, probably just since the age of the internet.

I'm hoping they take a snapshot of their arrest and at least give us the courtesy of posting it here before they log off! :happydance:

*In general, use the term RSO rather than "SO." For unregistered sex offenders, use description that indicates their status. For unconvicted offenders, use "alleged." For convicted sex offenders who no longer must register (e.g. expiration of registration period), use "former registered sex offender." For those who've never had to register due to state law preclusions, and all others convicted in a court of law, use "convicted sex offenders." The term "predator" may also be used when appropriate in a legal sense, or colloquially, for any reference to a sex offender.
