As messed up as it sounds and as unthinkable it is to most. It is not uncommon for some woman to bring their babies along for a call or drug deals. I agree with you that she was probably a victim of the lisk. Probably just didn't know what to do with it being that he clearly liked to kill prostitutes and babies were not his thing. Guessing he smothered the poor child and just left it there.

I actually just posted a blog piece about that like 2 minutes ago.

You just have to be a registered user to enter a missing persons case or law enforcement can do it as well. For unidentified remains it has to be the coroner/med examiner. If you have trouble registering or am technically challenged, like say Hawkshaw , you can contact NamUs and they will be so glad to help.

Let me ask you, Field, do you recall that it was reported that the DNA determined a "relation" to the Jane Doe but wasn't specifically stated as the baby's mother? Yeah that's how it was worded. Genetically linked, possibly the mother is what they said.

I've been in touch with NamUs and had them enter the Asian victim's facial composite as well as the picture of the jewelry for the child victim since both of these were absent from their profiles. I also asked that a profile be made for the mother. They complied with this request and notified the medical examiner. The ME is now just waiting for the detectives to sign off on it. So hopefully soon. Great people over there at NamUs!!!

At one time, the NAMUS profile for John Doe had his sketch... for some reason it suddenly didn't. I'm dumbfounded by them not having composites done of mom and baby or they haven't updated to (at least) say for sure whether it is mom and baby. Sister's, aunt, niece, grandmother.... they surely know by now.
Only pics of the jewelry and I agree this child probably was clothed and should lend a clue to the time of disappearance. Recently a john Doe child was found in Maine and they had a sketch and pictures of his shoes all over the news within hours- and the mother was quickly arrested (even though she and child were from Arizona) Goes to show how sharing some freaking clues with the public serves the PD well. It does not take the amount of time SCPD is taking.
THis is why it's time the FBI take it over whether they like it or not. It's becoming very obvious these unidentified were brought from someplace else and could very well be more issues of trafficking (not hard to assume being the cases going on with megan's associates)
I'm still not willing to write off these thugs in any way btw.... they've been less than cooperative and have a history of bringing young mothers WITH children to work for them. They're not against using these kids as a means to get what they want from the mothers. Suppose she didn't play ball and this child was killed to make a statement and then she was killed to make another statement.
Someone is surely missing this mother and child -somewhere and all local possibilities have been ruled out. It's an interstate crime - whether it's domestic, serial killer or organized crime. The FBI needs to take this over

I dont' know if NAMUS has dropped the ball on updating anyone ruled out as being John Doe or if they never looked into some potential matches I submitted months ago. Either way, I question the effectiveness of this organization since suddenly the pic is gone and no names are listed as being ruled out.
The site is at least not complete because there are MANY cases to be found on numerous other sites (porchlight to name one)
BTW... there is a Facebook page set up and dedicated to the identification of these victims if you want to search "help identify unidentified found on ocean parkway"
Anyone is welcome to seek the page and share on their own facebook pages to get their likeness out to everyone possible
personally, I think they should be on billboards and posted throughout the area and beyond. Maybe I'll make that my next project ... a mass mailing to post these pics everywhere we can get them

It has been a long time since LE has made any new statements or released info on the cases. I am hoping that they will release some more info soon to help ID some of the victims. I'm sure they will do a big info dump in the future if the case gets colder.

I for some reason was thinking for a second it was only her skull they had found. That was actually JD who's legs were found on FI -

So.. mom perhaps was dismembered - since baby remained intact and theoretically, they would have been disposed of around the same time. (just a thought) Wonder where the rest is....

Has her information been entered into NAMUS yet. I always believed mother and child is key to solving this crime.

One year later on route 46 Saddle Brooke NJ a shopping bag was found. It contained child *advertiser censored*. It was pictures of the baby that was found in the cooler. The story can be found in the New York Times archives. I wonder if there is a anywhere in NY connection.

What year was this baby found and the stuff in Saddle Brook.

Saddle Brook, is that near town where SG was arrested (Upper Saddle, NJ) along with JR, the owner of her escort service? He served less than a year for some heavy duty felony charges and SG was set to be a witness in the case when she disappeared.

Cooler was found in 1991. A shoppng bag was found a year later in 1992 with pictures of child *advertiser censored*. It was confirmed the baby in the cooler was the same child in the pictures. She has never been identified. Witnesses state a man and a woman were seen carrying the cooler. The New York Times article said the coke cans in the cooler were distributed to locations in the Bronx and Manhattan from Hunts point in the Bronx. I think the article stated the cans were originally from Connecticut.

I read about this case here on WS. There is a thread here somewhere for this child. Wish I could remember the name of the thread.
