“Next witness is forensic scientist Sarah Jones. She has been in this profession for 22 years

Witness specialises in fibres and clothing. She examined Alesha’s vest. Also looked at the jogging bottoms and hooded top found on beach

Defence asking witness about fibres from the black Nike top which were NOT found on Alesha’s clothing. Witness agrees she would expect to see Nike top fibres on Alesha’s vest if she was being carried

Under cross examination witness agrees black Nike top has “no connection” to Alesha’s garments. Zero traces”

(from Connor Gillies twitter commentary)
I take it that there was only ever one hoodie found among all the clothes used in evidence?
Sorry, can't be bothered searching back - exactly where was the hoodie found by the police officer?

I read somewhere it was found approx half a mile north of where joggers were found...this may or may not be true

It was found in a rock pool by a member of the public who thought 'it looked out of place'. They heard a 16 year old boy had been arrested so told the police. The officer told her he didn't think it was relevant to the case but would bag it anyway. Not sure if he ever did bag it but it ended up in the skip.

Maybe they thought that only showing the evidence of him after he committed the crime was enough.
By 'they' is that the police? What was the reason that it was made available to the public anyway?

Yeah, perhaps.
I think probably? Or maybe the media requested it and only asked for that portion of the video? I don't know.

I did read somewhere that when it was retrieved from the skip, it was still in the bag

A friend of the accused, who is also 16 and cannot be named because of his age, is giving evidence at the High Court.

He says he attended the exams party and went back to the accused’s house at 12.30am.

He found the accused “crying on his bed,” he tells the court.

The boy says the accused told him he had ‘family problems” and was “depressed and thinking of harming himself”.

The witness tells the court the accused was “wearing grey jogging bottoms and a black Nike zipper”.

Alesha MacPhail suspect was 'crying and depressed' on night of 'murder'

My short answer would be if he carried Alesha from the flat to the woods, neither of them were wearing that particular hoodie which Jane claims to have analysed. Of course, all sorts of other explanations are also possible
Who is Jane?

So according to AC saying that he gave his hoodie to A : assume then that he wrapped it around her and then discarded it further up the beach.

I'm still trying to work out whether this was genuine or not? Because by the sounds of it Aaron was in his room alone and mostly everyone had left the party? So his friend had walked in and found him crying. Going by his known lack of empathy and cold nature it could be seen as being put on for attention and being manipulative, but if he thought everyone had left and he was just having a breakdown by himself that doesn't really add up. It confuses me.

A quick Google search brought this up:
Can Psychopaths Cry or Experience Sadness? There are some areas where psychopaths may experience normal emotions and grief is one such area. In response to death of a person with whom there is a bond, some psychopaths can experience sadness and this may even bring about feelings of guilt which are otherwise impossible to feel. Crying may be a part of this. Exposure to trauma may also bring about emotions that would normally be suppressed in a psychopath. It is also known that psychopaths are aware of the emotional separation between them and the rest of the world and this can cause them great dissatisfaction and suffering. Suffering may also be as a result of a desire for attention. There are other areas where psychopaths may actually be hypersensitive to emotions due to a history of abuse or neglect - which is common in psychopaths (Psychopathic Personality and How It Develops). Examples of this can be experiences of disrespect, rejection by others, changes in circumstances that are not under their control and loneliness.

Not sure how reputable the source is.
