I really hope they find her but as times passing it's making me fear the worse. My heart goes out to her family. I hope they find her safe and well.

I dont think shes close to the town,i think the abductor would have kept driving well away from the area..

I don't think she's near the town either, like you I think the abductor would have driven as far away as they could.

That's my feeling too. If you take something that you shouldn't, you don't tend to hang around to see if anyone notices - pedal to the metal and gone.

But the police seem to want to keep searching the local area. They must have a reason for this. It could be suggested by a profiler, or based on the statistics that most children are abducted by someone known to them, or based on previous cases of missing children (Holly & Jessica, Sarah Payne).

Or maybe it is a tactical move in public relations to keep the local people feeling positive that they are doing something to help and ensure people co-operate.

I am praying for this little girl and her family!

we don't have a sex offender registry that is as public as yours in the states. We also don't have a sufficient missing persons system IMO. :banghead:

We do have a sex offenders register.

We also have 'Sarah's law', named for Sarah Payne and fought very hard to implement by her mother. Based on what we currently know, Sarah's law would not have helped in this case. An Amber Alert system could have done though. http://www.sarahslaw.co.uk/

Ironically, one of the first people to go on the newly created sex offender register was Roy Whiting, three years before he abducted, sexually assaulted and then murdered Sarah Payne.

THe police apparently know where they are. If convicted of a sexual crime, the perp must sign the sex offenders register. We as the public are not allowed to see it.

Sarahs law has been trying to change this for years

The witnesses are saying she got into the driver's door of the vehicle. Could be from the continent? Or they lifted her onto their lap?

Could the person have had something on their lap (like a kitten on a puppy) and she climbed in for a closer look?
Just an idea.

They could have said that they were trying to find her parents. She jumped in to show him the way to her house maybe. Just a thought.

According to sky news that I am watching. April went into her house and saw her mum, so they believe it was as little time as 10 minutes.

Mr Bevan said police were alerted last night, and it was “pretty soon after that” that the incident was being treated as an abduction.

He said April was with friends yesterday evening, “some of whom left earlier and there's certainly one individual that was with her when the abduction took place”.

“Obviously if somebody has any footage that they feel may be of assistance, if it matches the description of the vehicle I have given, if it is of any movements in or around that time, 7pm last night, then we would be anxious for people to come forward.”

He added: “We have had a significant number of pieces of information, members of the public approaching us, as you are well aware, we have got media, Twitter, there is a Twitter account.

Your right, she might have even know the person from seeing them around while she was out playing with her friends and got in with them because she felt they weren't a stranger.
There could be a million reasons for her getting in the van I just pray she's safe.

Thjat may be why the police are searching close by and the roadblocks that were set up,they may think the abductor didnt get far..
Also i think as soon as it was realised it was an abduction adjoining police forces would have been alerted and on the lookout...
