Great to see Birmingham FC doing some touching things. His memory needs to be kept alive. The George cross shout someone put on an earlier thread is a great shout. I just keep being bowled over by this kids courage & bravery when I think about it.

On another note the more I think, the more I get angry at TH & his sentence. I see pre meditation the more I dig like going to the neighbours & telling them to ignore it if he hears Arthur screaming etc…. That shows me he is as much to blame. <modsnip>

The more I think abt it the more inconsistencies I see

Olivia mum has said vehemently that she thought those bruises were deliberate to JH that night…. She rang the police and ss…. They gave a flimsy record of a tidy house and weren’t concerned….
So what?? They were concerned weren’t they??? Both grandparents saw the bruise…. They had Arthur’s actual words to say ET did it. They both reported he looked increasingly unhappy there….. so what if SS didn’t see a concern

i just don’t understand how such major concerns were so quickly squashed…..


As a teacher and a nurse both grans would’ve known that Arthur was vulnerable + now out of everyone’s sights… in lockdown. How could they go weeks and weeks with no contact or even just driving there to see him.
I would’ve camped out front in my car to just see his face


After both the grans chat that night … did they not speak again ?! Abt the concerns…..


I also think it’s strange that olivias mum said she didn’t know he was living with ET. Thought they were still in the annexe

I would assume the night JH went over with the bruis pic that would’ve been mentioned!!

If I had such concerns I just wouldn’t have left things after SS deemed it ok to be honest


SS are under the pump and perhaps make errors in judgement as often as they rescue children …. I just would’nt have taken their word for anything

Also it’s strange JH was concerned for Arthur and TH Cos she thought ET was controlling yet went over to ask for the keys to the annex back

which further created a rift.,,, I wonder if she was able to see Arthur that evening in may …. I think she didn’t see him as there’s no mention of that …. jusr that TH threw the keys at her….

Yet again alarm bells would be going off. Why was Arthur not allowed to just say hi through the window

What exactly were they supposed to do? They called the relevant authorities, the ones who should act on such concerns. The authorities did nothing and there were threats of arrest.

In the nicest possible way, I don't think it's fair to question how close Arthur and his grandparents were. Whether they saw each other regularly or less frequently, none of them wanted what happened to Arthur to happen and I don't question their love for him. They tried to intervene and were threatened with the police for doing so. I'm sure they are all wracked with guilt about what they should or could have done differently, but I believe they did what they could do under the circumstances, and will live with his loss for the rest of days.

There are some things you can be rehabilitated from. Substance abuse, Drug dealing (Greed), Violence even. Poisoning children & waging a campaign of terror on a 6 year old for months because they don’t fit your agenda moving forward. Sorry no rehabilitation courses for that evil to the core

Well, I guess attending various classes might kill the prison boredom.
By the way, ET had already attended parental course with this Shane man.
I guess they werent the top students.

In my opinion, ET genuinely believed that Arthur was the obstacle to her "matrimonial bliss" with TH.
He was the son of her rival, Olivia. She was insanely jealous and terrified that TH might return to Arthur's mother one day.
That's why, in her mad mind, she decided to get rid of the child.
Ruthlessly - like a maniac that she is.

I repeat - she is not of the sound mind.

It is the woman who jumped out of the window, when her partner decided to meet friends.

And, who jumped from the 6th storey, when another one decided to leave her.

But she's not insane or mad in the sense she knew exactly what she was doing, she didn't have any diminished responsibility, compared to a genuinely mad person. she was very calculated and manipulative.

I do think she has BPD, narcissist and is a psychopath for sure mixed together is a scary person. The reasons she did those extreme things was to try and manipulate and guilt her ex partners to stay in her control.

But I do agree she saw him as an obstacle, and hated his mother, slandering her in court about the wine etc which I'd say we're definitely lies, and Arthur would not confide that with ET

But...you have to agree she isn't the paragon of mental sanity.

He showed no remorse for what he’s done in court & for me if his family are willing to forgive him, then I believe he never will be punished. If they never spoke to him again and left him in the cold that would probably hurt him the most. The fact his mum never even mentioned him in her statement but was more outraged in that turd Shane Hawkins saying he wasn’t affected, tells me he’s back in the bosom playing the victim and then one day he’s back on the streets like nothing ever happened & he does something again which could affect any of us because he’s a not right. He can’t be allowed to feel he has an excuse from anyone. He is evil I don’t want him walking the streets.

I see your point. It does seem though from court reports that they do speak to him. AH said he’d made amends with TH.

My interpretation of the impact statement was that it’s a chance to say to the convicted how their crimes have impacted them. If they still talk to TH then they have probably spoke about it already. MOO

Usually they release the 3D image of where are the injuries are eg in baby Ps case (not that I want to see it).

I can imagine there being a documentary made on this case in the future.

I hope they don’t release anything else it’s been horrific enough. I can only imagine the photo she sent him at the very end & if that was shown in court to normal folk in the jury I hope they get some therapy made available to them
