Found Deceased UK - Baljeev Johal, 24, Ryton On Dunsmore, 5 Oct 2014

Ski/Schmae - I'm sure you've done a fair bit of sleuthing on this, and sorry to hear Baljeev is still missing.

I've just been looking at google earth and noticed there are ponds behind and some kind of business across the road. Has the water been searched and do we know what the business is? (EDIT: it's a garden centre)

One more thing, is his family from Ryton, does he know the area? Would he have had a clue where he was going in the middle of the night?

One more thing, is his family from Ryton, does he know the area? Would he have had a clue where he was going in the middle of the night?

I know he has family all over the midlands but I do not think he is familiar, or too familiar with the area no. I know they did search all around the area,acres of land was searched, as well as property owners checking their land, but the only reference to water being searched that I have read in MSM is the river avon. Nothing was found from any of the searches afaik. As for if he would know where he is going in the dark, probably not Can't say with 100% certainty but I would have thought no. He lives in Bramcote, a burb of Nottingham approx 60 miles north of the party venue. He did study at Leicester Uni, so he may have had some knowledge of the area, but I am not sure and pretty confused by some statements made by family. They say he graduated in the summer but he told me he dropped out in 2009.. IDK how he could have attended Uni when he was online talking to us most days, unless he finished his degree online, but why he would not have told me I do not know, so make of that what you will.

He has no 'real life' friends, he hung out with his cousins when he did. He lived with his mum and older sister, they knew he dropped out in 09. When I questioned about him dropping out to a family member they said yes he did drop out in 09 but he graduated in the summer, no explanation of how. Those areas of water had me concerned straight away, they must have checked them surely?

He has family in California, he was supposed to be going to visit them in the summer but didn't go, how I wish he did

Looking back over our chats, he talked a few times about leaving people behind, living in the wild. He said once if he got rich he would give all the money to his Mum and move to Tibet. A few days before he went missing he mentioned "leaving the internet and finding himself"

Call me deluded or naive but I hope that is exactly what he did, at least he would still be out there somewhere. All I want right now is my friend safe and home, or to know he is safe and well somewhere.

Did he ever say anything about feeling depressed and suicidal? Just working through the options...

I just don't get how a strapping lad can just vanish into thin air. Also surprised about the lack of coverage, the family seems to have gone fairly quiet. Is there something we don't know?

I feel like there is something we don't know, I don't know what though. It has all gone quiet :/

Just to throw another thought into the mix. The disagreement about who was driving - could it have escalated outside and ended badly? Could the family have closed ranks to protect somebody? I wonder if cars were forensic'd? I am only having these awful thoughts because of the silence from the family.

This gives me more hope than I was feeling. It does sound possible he did leave voluntarily. I pray that is true, and he will realize he needs to let someone know he is OK. Too many people care about him.

So we have been told, but how do we really know he left penniless? The truth is we know VERY few facts, and the 'not any money or phone' I am not prepared to accept as fact

I was so hoping there would be some word to indicate where he is. I just have a hard time understanding how someone can leave family and friends with no idea as to their safety --- if he left willingly. Please Baljeev, send word somehow.... are you out there?
