does anyone know where the cell phone tower that cl phone logged on to is by the university ?
ok found it it was hiding...ive done a map to show the coverage of the part of the tower she was logged onto (looked on google earth 2008 to see which direction each transceiver pointed)..if u don't know a cell tower has 3 "transceivers" spaced 120 degree apart in a circle..the cell phone logs in via the one covering that area.......it also shows that if the couple arguing on the bridge by the uni drove off to the right then the phone would have logged onto the next transceiver round..of course it could go to the left and stay logged in on the one it was on....
make of it what u will..i think her phone didn't go far from her house:cool:
ill see if I can find out what network the tower belongs to and where there next tower is

ok lukily Ofcom didn't stop giving out cell tower data till 2012 so the one she was logged onto according to the released info was Siwards Water Tower nest to the university..as far as I can make out it was then shared by 4 companies, o2,vodafone,t mobile and orange..although now ee and three use it as well...from what I can work out so far it looks like maybe some of these companies had other masts in the zone covered by siwards tower...the data base of tower takes time..if u want to use it its at https://www.mastdata.com..

Where is the nearest tower to the Uni?
sorry last map is low detail here u go..the tower is just off university road near where the report of a couple arguing was

I think most people would, but she would have been in more of a rush than usual that day, because she was walking to work instead of driving, so would have needed to allow extra time for the journey. On the other hand, she appears to have had time to eat breakfast, so I really can't make up my mind whether or not it would have been normal for her not to have looked at her phone before leaving for work that particular morning...

I know if im in a rush I grab the phone but I usually glance to look if theres a missed call and as she was walking then all the time in the world to read it. I can understand opening a text and not replying whilst walking but it was never opened

A couple of interesting points from the documentary:
It claimed the police believe the man in dark clothing who disappears into Heworth Place was Richard Cartwright but were never able to corroborate this due to his untimely death.
The work colleague/manager from the university's Roger Kirk kitchen appeared in the documentary and revealed that he would occasionally pick up CL in the mornings but did not go that way on the 19th March.

I believe Claudia got into a car more or less straightaway as soon as she got out of her front door .Then words must have been spoken and she had more ugent things to worry about than a message from Cyprus

I believe David her work colleague reiterated that she was with someone new two nights before ?He mumbled a bit though ?!

Absolutely nothing new in the channel 5 documentary yesterday

I believe MajorLang thought that David occasionally gave her a lift to work and that it was him who mentioned the mystery boyfriend a year later ! The words ‘a year later’ could have been added by the police .In other words they were not paying attention the first time round.
An other point I find confusing :I seem to remember that a pub regular ( was it the Landlord) said that ‘this guy turned up with what appeared to be her rucksack’ and was advised to take it to the police .
But the program says’when the police got there...camera zooming in on a patch of grass...the bag had gone !

jen has a bad habit of weird remarks..she said "she hoped cl was dead before she hit the ground"
I agree ... previous remarks such as putting her back together again, her comments about Claudia being a knob, about Claudia putting on ‘stupid little voice’ , her blokes remark of ‘where Claudia is it isn’t through choice’ - a Forensic statement analyst could have a field day with her I think if they got all of her appearances... Would be interesting to see what was in her statements ...

But a guilty friend would not appear on tv or newspapers on and off for the last ten years !
Yes they would and it would usually be encouraged by police to make appeals etc so they can watch behaviour. Many known killers have done this / like the limelight / think it’s takes attention off them etc.... forensic psychologists will watch every word and Their body language
