Clive Driscoll suggested that she went missing at night and yet Colin Sutton suggested she was abducted on her way to work. Colin has probably seen the private cctv of Claudia's house from across the road.
its always the same we wont ever get to see the cctv but maybe the police stance that they think she was abducted on her way to work is influenced by even lousy cctv showing a hint of someone leaving in the morning???

Agree and today it's fashionable to have a food allergy or eating disorder

But would the perp(s) not keep the phone as it could have incriminating evidence on it and if handed in by an honest person could be telling-Who she contacted and who contacted her?? Photos on the SIM card. No I would either keep or dispose of in totality.
I believe the sighting of the couple arguing and the open door of a red car is genuine.
Claudia forced or otherwise back into that car.She dropped her rack sack accidentally on perpose

Then someone found it but I am not clear whether this person took it to the nagshead or simply told people at the nagshead about it.
The channel 5 programme said the police went to investigate but could not find it.
Did the driver go back to fetch it obviously having a good idea where it would be .

the label psychopath is so over used these days it has almost lost its true associations..u drop a piece of litter and don't pick it up ur a psychopath its become a buzz word for the media like any one who has a bad day now has to have a disorder..theres probably now a not having a disorder disorder...

as far as her phone goes it could of course have been tossed away when she was abducted and found the next day by some less that honest person who didn't want to be involved, who kept it..easy way to explain the delay in been turned off and why it never went out the phone mast transceiver coverage

did the ford focus call to pick her up and find she had already set off so went after her.it and cl walking cant have been caught on the post office cctv surley the police would have released that info I wonder the coverage of the mini supermarket coverage as the car had to come out that end by default unless the cctv wasn't working or not saved?..maybe it did and u can see theres only one person it which would suggest if she set off walking then she disappeared into a local building...was there any busses out with cctv in the morning?.it sorta suggests theres missing cctv.
I still edge on the side of she went missing on the night..it goes against the evidence of the pots in the sink ect but they could have been from that morning, dark man the probable reason she was out..
Checked bus timetables and they start just after 6

This is interesting: A revealing quote from Joan Lawrence..
‘You could ask, why are these so-called married men looking for a girl like my daughter? They’re not so innocent, nor do they always let on that they’re married. Everyone who knew Claudia — all her real friends in Malton — didn’t recognise her from how she’d been portrayed.’

Suggests her real friends lived in Malton, not Heworth.

Two immediate things stand out in that piece, that differ from what has been said previously.

The text from Cyprus. Says here not known if she read or not, whereas before wasn't it stated that she never opened it? So she could have looked at it just before going to bed and decided to wait until next day when she was less tired to respond.

The dishes in sink. Always before described as breakfast dishes left, implying she was there in the morning and had breakfast. But here just says 'dirty plates stacked in sink', which could have been from the night before or even older, depending on how diligent she was with washing up.

Is Suzy one on the channel 5 doc? Oh i thought she was lovely. Such heartbreak. So sad the while thing. Got to admit ive not really heard much about this whole story. It got me interested in it though. So many things

Sarah, noticed you have posted quite a lot since joining WS on Sunday, just on this case.

Can I ask, as you have asked others here, what your theories are about what happened? Do you by any chance know Suzy or Jen, as you refer to them frequently, or live locally?

I asked the same questions twice but still no answer

Not an ideal early Christmas present for certain individuals I would suggest
as already stated fukk of mistakes...my opinion of the reporting..outdated and garbage..typical lazy journalist if that's the best u can do then maybe a job change is a thought maybe????...

didn't she have a long term lover in Malton that everyone there knew was going on except it seems her parents..lets be hounest cl was no angel regardless of how the parents thought, but she was a single woman so why not??she just kept it out of the conversations

the ponder with this is why didn't the cctv at the post office catch her walking to work..could be the same time she dropped her phone if someone was panicking to get her in a car

Yes, we know of her best friend Liz who she messaged on the last night who lived in Malton. Was it not said that girls in Malton didn't like her?

Paddy Mcginty was his name

@rehtnap I have attached a walking route to work and the sightings. She could have "avoided' the Heworth Village Cost Cutter camera as she would naturally been on the other side of the street (Her house side) as she approached the junction Heworth Road /East Parade. She could have been sighted talking to someone at Melrosegate bridge as that sighting would be before she got to Post Office with CCTV. Was she given a lift by this person, who all say she would have to know. She; but not the car, could avoid the Melrosegate Post office CCTV if in car. Did she then ask to be dropped off at the place of the second sighting-This was her natural walking "Cut Through" path to work?

Did the cops ever give any sort of explanation of why that picture of Claudia with the wrong hair color was used for the missing appeals? Just curious.

This case baffles me. Mostly because there's an answer, likely in her local, and yet no one has grassed. Which, hello, booze, bad deeds, people talk, relationships fall out. Yet not a peep.

Wouldn't we love to see the transcripts of the interviews done with all the people who were arrested then bailed?
