Your quite right. The use of the word Burglar confused me.
That got me "Galloping" away with the idea of it being a burglar.
I fully understand the concept of a predator.

If it was a predator I wonder if they took any of Claudias items and if so were they spotted and missed by anyone?

Wonder why Malyn is fixated on it being someone she knew-Perhaps it was but she had never classified them as a predator?

They did say that this person didnt break into Claudias house.. I would like to know more about him tho and the 'circumstances' of the other offence he commited.
But I did wonder if he was known to have flogged a rucksack or a phones in the past? ;)

Good points made above.

Something else occured to me earlier that popped in to my mind from long ago that could potentially have happened with CL either by someone local or an ex or someone with a stalking type mind or even anger. I had two next door neighbours who were an older married couple. My previous flat mate had given the female next door neighbour a spare set of keys in case she lost hers. After she moved out, she left the keys with the neighbours. I was happy with this as they would feed the cat or keep an eye on the property when I was away - plus there was nowhere safe to leave a spare key so handy for those lost key moments. For many many years all was fine. It didn't occur to me at any point that the husband was a predator/pervert, until he became interested in my new blonde flat mate. Then one day I came out of my bedroom. I was home alone, or so I thought and at the very same time the male next door neighbour was exiting my absent flat-mates room. I screamed. He was shocked to see me (as I was him). He made pathetic excuses about the flat door was open (it was not, it was a rough neighbourhood and I was meticulous with the door locking, especially after an attempted break-in previously. He couldn't explain how he got through the main front door to even get to the supposed open front door. Anyway, he had been (literally) in my flat-mates knicker drawer. He had to have used the spare keys to the building front door and my flat front door.

So does the above spark any possible relation to a perp using old or spare keys - for instance the person who was in 'charge' of the keys knew nothing about it (at first) but the other half nicked them? (Male or Female). Or previous lover had a copy of the keys or begged someone for keys saying he was going to surprise CL that night?

That must have been terrifying @Officer Dibble What a perv, old b*****d! Good job he was a wimpy weasel or you could have been in real danger.

I'm confused now? Are you saying on one hand he was identified as a predator or a Burglar?
I don't want to "Gallop" away with the wrong idea??

Its probably Green Bros Willow Grove Sandy Lane Murton York YO19 5XE (Abattoirs)
8 mins from Heworth Road on the Stockton Lane Rd... 9 mins on the Malton Rd

Thank you @cortina and @keep-it-real That’s just reminded me of a supplier I use in Murton, someone I’m quite friendly with. I’ll ‘make some enquiries’ as soon as I am able to drop by and will report back.

Well he wouldnt be a burglar if he picked a disgarded rucksack containing a phone.

To be clear I think he was a burglar (entered homes) with sexual intent and that was where the police first interest lay.

My thinking of him possibly finding the rucksack and its contents is speculative but colleges campuses offer opportunities for people like that with an unhealthy sexual interest and some areas have easy access for someone with predatory interests so its possible someone like him would have picked it up if he came across it .

there are lots of landscape gardeners, builders etc around that industrial estate area....you don't know who's been working with whom or what kind of connections have been made

Here's why. University of York Campus East Development before and after:

Campus East was a huge development project indeed, @Yozzer What I really mean is: are there rumours because a lot of digging and building was taking place there at the time, OR is there anything more concrete behind these rumours?(no pun intended), eg one of the contractor firms linked to one of the POI, as @MajorLang suggested, if I remember correctly. Our friend couldn’t really say.

Personally I had reached a point in my research which needed clarification from NYP wether one particular person featured on the NYP website had been identified and eliminated or not. They went away and checked and very quickly gave me a return call and confirmed the person was still unidentified. I only discussed the subject of my enquiry.

I enquired about the current status of the website and was advised that the website is not handled by Cold Case I suggested the public would appreciative if it was kept up todate and was assured that but would be passed on.
(apart from any obvious update notes on any of the subjects I was thinking along the lines of a basic last updated note with date added to the website under the header)

Thank you @keep-it-real and @MajorLang for sharing what you learnt/didn’t learn from the CC team.

I want to mentioned by the way: construction companies and also Unis may have (mobile) incinerators .....

I would be surprised if an incinerator, mobile or not could generate the sort of heat required for a cremation, although in fairness I don't know for certain

I stand corrected, just checked, saw a mobile incinerator for sale, temp range up to 950c,i should think that would be hot enough

He galloped off into the sunset in search of the socks that distract us feom the truth.

more like he galloped into the Nags Head on the way saying he had found a rucksack. Strange they never saw the bloke or the rucksack again. But did he find it closer to home and went in the NH to redeem it for a handout. The whole story came from the NH crowd perhaps their story of it being found at the college was a 'distract' from the truth.

Actually when you think about it cattle have some big bones on them would have to be hot has hell to incinerate them.. mind you they might reduce them down before.

Hope this doesnt put people off their barbecuing lol
