Wondering about the 2 boxes of colour, usually wouldn't one box suffice if hair is not especially long or thick?

Never noticed before but the two bottles are two different shades

No 60 is Bronze Ice which is a medium golden brown

No 62 is Cocoa Infusion which is a medium brown

I was going to say I was guessing whoever dyed their hair died it medium brown (no62) with No 60 highlights.

But again didn't Claudia just have her hair done?

And then I noticed the blonde bleaching powder... so potentially 3 different hair colours?!?!?

And unused gloves. I've dyed my hair since I was a teen, going from brown to blonde at home is a serious hassle, especially if you have a brown colour on previously, it WILL go orange, and it will take more than one application to get it blonde. I can't imagine Claudia would dye it back to blonde so soon, unless she did highlights, but that wouldnt take 2 packs of bleach. So did she do someone elses hair? I don't think we have ever found out, OR did someone want to make it look like she dyed her hair blonde again? Another puzzle..

Not something which I would be comfortable doing to myself and I've been dying my hair years and as has been stated by friends Claudia was quite particular about her appearence so I can't see her risking a misshap

My hair is really dark brown, almost black and in the past (30 years ago) I've used hair dye for blond and it just doesn't touch it, when it does it verges on orange. Iirc Claudia's hair was dark, possibly needing two packs and a bleach combo. Why did she do it mid week? It's a lot of effort.

Huge effort first thing ( presumably) in the morning, not to mention taking the hair straighteners too.
Holy hair singeing after fresh colour, imo!

I feel the same, and I'm not sure if it's because the police have laid them all out, but it just seems too clean? Dying your hair is messy.. Even with gloves on, it's messy. That stuff gets everywhere!

TV movie yesterday: 5 male friends, all married or dating, rented a loft to alternately meet with their lovers or prostitutes. One of the men met there also secretly with each of the girlfriends/wifes of his buddies. This would never have known someone, if not one of the men had secretly filmed in the loft.
The men were all somehow dependent on one another due to any business transactions (also happens to be construction) and their secret lovers.
There were much more men involved re dependence. Casino visiting and drugs played a roll too. It all ended up with murder and all the men were afraid that the thing with their secret loft would blow up.

Would have Claudia told her mother on the phone that she wanted to dye her hair at the same evening? I would say something like that, if I had the daily conversation with my mother.

If Claudia had dyed her hair this evening on the 18th, then the color would have had to act for a while. Claudia would have had enough time to read/answer the sms from Cyprus.

With regard to the hair dye is there a reason I have missed for focusing in on this? Is it not possible that the different colours/batches of dye were bought on different occasions by Claudia and just kept in the cupboard for when they were needed? My mother-in-law dyes her hair and she has got boxes of the stuff, going back to the days when Long John Silver used to run the 100 metres with an egg on his shoulder. Did the police actually say they considered the hair dye significant in some way? Given that Claudia seemed to take care of her hair to a degree where most of us don't bother (well, I don't anyway, I have been cultivating the "Father Jack" look for years now and there are probably birds nesting in mine) is it not possible that she just accumulated the stuff over time?

No, another title, but I don't know at the moment. Something with "affairs", one unknown word first. TV einsFestival, I think??
Because it was on TV in the last hours of Sunday or early hours of Monday and I wanted to sleep but couldn't always, I didn't realize more than half of the film. I recognized only one actor who I knew, but don't know his name. Searched the internet, but nothing. Sorry. - Many words for nothing.

EDIT: I looked at dotr's video: The story is right, but the actors aren't known to me - maybe an older version of the thriller with another title, which I watched??

Traipsing through everything I've accumulated to find the link but I'm pretty sure police said it was on the side,used. You can also see from the police photos that the dyes were recently made up when the photo was taken

I had not realised - or must have forgotten ! ( quite possible with me ) re the hair dyes.

As Sar says, the dyes have been recently made up, so surely Claudia had been using it just before her disappearance. I dont know of any hair dye where you make the stuff up and then dont use it for days.


The evening timeline shows her on the phone from 19.30 to 20.30 and, unless she switched it off, she was also watching TV from 20.00 to 21.00 ( the Location programme ) so unlikely to be doing her hair then.
Perhaps she had done it that afternoon, when she got back from her short walk at 15.15hrs.

Could be, as From Germany said, she was just adding a few highlights over her recently done professional colour job.

If she had been doing someone else's hair, surely that somebody would have told the police about this ? or perhaps not ?
