Years went by with no new information until the Rinehimer Inn was sold years later. That's when an ornate cane was found on a shelf in a closet while the new owner was cleaning. Benjamin Krupinski used the cane to walk with his asthma.

"He couldn't walk nowhere without that cane," Anthony said.

The inn was where family members believed Krupinski's body was buried. They just couldn't prove it or give police enough information for a warrant.

Remains of Qld woman found in own backyard

The 15-year search for murdered Queensland mum Patricia Anne Riggs ended when a home-owner started building a retaining wall in his backyard and discovered skeletal remains.
Ms Riggs, a mother of four, went missing on September 30, 2001 from her home in Janet Street, Margate.

Ms Wing said there had been a lot of police activity in the past few days and searchers found the remains near the back fence.
"The police had been back and forward looking; we always suspected it might be there," Ms Wing told reporters outside her home.
"I always said it was a chance it was in the garden."


I don't think it has to be the own backyard in case Claudia. I only hope one day it will happen that an innocent person finds CL unexpectedly on one of the properties "one could have in mind".

Outrageous that it took 15 years to find the body. The husband sounds like an evil sadist. Glad he was caught.

Halliwell was familiar with York – his father lived in Huddersfield – and the description of Claudia’s murderer is identical to him – a left-handed smoker, 5ft 8-10in, with slightly receding hair and a skinny build.

‘Claudia was reported missing from her home on March 19, 2009 – exactly two years to the day before Sian. It is also the same date that a woman called Linda Razzell disappeared.’

I don't think we've hit the tip of the iceberg where Christopher Halliwell and the number of women who have fallen victim to him is concerned, I hope Claudia was not one of them but it's very possible.

Btw: I vague remember CH being mentioned already in Claudia's thread long time ago? At least I for myself know I had already searched for the area he could have worked in (taxi driver, chauffeur, maybe groundworker) and created a route planer.

Did Christopher Halliwell kill others? What police will do now

Oddly, Halliwell was also a serial complainer to the police and other authorities. Between 2000 and 2010 he made numerous reports about perceived slights and wrongs against him. They could help build up the timeline.
