He might just have taught English as a foriegn language - no particular qualifications required to take a TEFL course; http://www.e4s.co.uk/jobs/2-teaching-english-as-a-foreign-language.htm
Now standing at just under £170k.
I bet he wasn't a proper teacher, I'd be surprised if he held a post in a British school with assault and weapons charges on his rap sheet.
I'd be surprised as well if he could have taught TEFL in a reputable English language school, of which there are obviously dozens in London, because I would have expected them to require an enhanced criminal records check since many students are minors. Although teachers probably wouldn't routinely be alone with students that would probably happen from time to time.
If it's true he was radicalised in prison I wonder what his religion was before that.
His offences were between 1983 and 2003 and the ones listed were not that serious, no suggestion he served any jail time. So maybe he did teach. He'd have had to have got a degree to do so, anyone heard whether he went to university?
"Masood was not the subject of any current investigations and there was no prior intelligence about his intent to mount a terrorist attack," Scotland Yard said. "However, he was known to police and has a range of previous convictions for assaults, including grievous bodily harm, possession of offensive weapons and public order offences."
Masood's first conviction came when he was 19-years-old in November 1983 for criminal damage. His last conviction was in December 2003 for possession of a knife. He had never been convicted of a terrorism offence.

Oh sorry, does seem odd. Fully independent, queen head of state. Jmo
Several thousand people eventually gathered in London’s Trafalgar Square for a candlelit vigil to honour the victims and their families and to show London’s unity in the face of militant attacks.
Dignitaries, police and clergy, including Buddhist monks in brown robes, gathered on the steps leading to the National Gallery.
After speeches and a minute’s silence the crowd was so quiet that Big Ben could be heard chiming in the distance as the home secretary, mayor and acting police commissioner lit the three oversize candles to applause from the crowd.
Now standing at just under £170k.
And just hit over £303,000. Wowzers. Small comfort to Keith's widow of course, but I hope the money might make the coming months more comfortable for her and the family.
A 75 man has now died from his injuries.

Also, it's been confirmed that KM was definitely not a qualiied teacher (possibly not even TEFL), but a self-styled 'English tutor'.
It is understood not to be his birth name, which I'd guessed anyway because of the conversion-to-Islam thing.
There is no birth record for Khalid Masood either, be interesting to know what his name was before he converted.
Very sad to hear another person has died
