I don't know Cherwell.
I believe it was on the Diane Lem memorial page.

I don't know Cherwell.
Here we Cherwell.
Last week specialist police teams returned to her £1.3 million seven-bedroom home and began found her body in the grounds.

Really?
Oh, I thought you meant they'd built an extension or something like that.
Maybe that's counting the annexe over the garage.
That garage, and the rooms above, is bigger than my house.
I completely agree. I doubt that they really knew Helen that well really. They were at an age when they would be living their own lives and I doubt that IS would have nurtured the relationship st all. The boys could have even resented Helen with their Dad making the commitment to move in with each other. It wasn't really that long since their Mum had died and they were moved out if the family home.Me too, it would set a horrible precedent! No descendant of someone convicted of murder for gain should be able to profit either directly or indirectly. I'm sure they'd be the first to agree too.

You could be right. I didn't think of that. I am unsure how or if that has ever been described before. I am sure we could probably find the sales blurb for it if we dig deep enough.
I've been searching through planning applications for 45 Baldock Road, to see if there are any detailed plans of the garage. No luck, but Michael Shannon the previous owner wanted to build a 4-bedroomed bungalow in the grounds of the property and he appealed the refusal in 2010 - but that appeal was also refused. Presumably it was after that he decided to sell up and move. I think I read somewhere that he's 82? so possibly the bungalow was for his wife and himself. Conjecture I know. The thing that really hit me was if only Mr Shannon had been given that planning permission then Helen/IS would never have bought the house - although of course IS would have very likely found a different means of disposal elsewhere.
BTW, the house was sold with 7 bedrooms so none were added.
It also hit me about the name of the property 'Hartwell Lodge'. I wonder if that stemmed from there being a well?
Over thinking it now - time for a cool cider whilst making a curry for dinner later on!
Didn't we read also that Diane had left him to live at her mother's at one point but she went back and he suggested that she did it more often as he thought it brought them closer. Not sure about the exact wording. So not all hunky-dory.

That photo of him being questioned in the armchair at the family home - his surroundings are so classy and tasteful and so very Helen! He not only stole her life and her money - he stole her style too. That blundering buffoon wouldn't have a clue how to create a beautiful, tasteful home like that.
