Thanks. So I'm wondering if he could have used these at times for Helen as he had so few prescribed zopiclone?
Maybe using the two together at some point was an overdose? Is that possible?

He wasn't prescribed them till after she was dead. But yes, I've taken mirtrazapine and they knocked me out for a full weekend however everyone doesn't react to them in the same way.

Just putting this link back up ( I know its somewhere earlier in the thread )

Friday April 8 is the day this article appeared, re the removal of certain furnishings from Brocket - said to be the reason that IS and Helen decided they no longer wanted to use this venue for their wedding.

A Grade I listed estate at the centre of a financial quagmire looks set to be stripped of antiques, including tables, chandeliers and even a bath.

Tx for that. how odd. so the call on 4th is BEFORE the stripping of antiques was published.

Where have you got that from Moll? From a text or

is it related to the phrase in the appeal ?

11 May 2016

I got it from this latest evidence from the intelligence analyst about the texts, but I too thought of the language of his 'appeal'.

EDIT Duchy and Badhorsie have reposted the relevant text above.EDIT and I see you've amended your post so am a bit redundant...

ITV REPORT 7 February 2017 at 10:04am

<<snipped parts>>

analysis of a laptop belonging to Stewart showed that the digits ‘4,000’ were entered at the exact time a standing order from Helen Bailey’s bank account was changed to that amount.

The court heard that, using specialist software, Dc France found two fragments that showed there had been activity on the afternoon of April 11th - the day Helen Bailey went missing.

Stewart is alleged to have boosted a standing order to his own account from £600 to £4,000 that afternoon.

This is their proof that it wasn't Helen who amended the standing order, it was on IS' laptop.

I don't know how Tara missed this vital piece of evidence in her reporting yesterday.

The interaction would certainly increase the sedative effect and make her very sleepy but there is no reference to mirtazepine being found in her hair

Unless they read it somewhere else earlier - that article is local news but perhaps not the first mention of it ?

Chloe Keedy (@ChloeKeedyITV) tweeted at 11:21 AM on Tue, Feb 07, 2017:
Jury told after that there were daily texts or calls from Stewart to Helen Bailey's phone between 23rd Apr and May 5th @itvanglia

In the words of Mandy Rice Davies......

The story was that they loved it and were going to book it before they realised they were going to remove lots of the stuff, wasn't it? I guess the call could be anything, booking, enquiring, cancelling...

Mirtazapine didn't show up in toxicology.

Anyone else think IS wont be testifying today ?

Defence won't want to start until after lunch, and he then has to do his opening statement

Ol Big Bean may be put back in the can until tomorrow

Flippancy warning...

How can someone who was permanently on sick pay for goodness knows how long promise someone 30 years?

I can't see the defence opening taking long so I imagine IS will at least start today.

The only thing he was promising her was 30 years in a cess pit, that's what he was hoping anyway...

If there is any justice - he should get 30 years...........

whilst we are waiting for IS to make his debut....I would just like to thank all the well informed members of this thread for their input and explanation of the legal process. I am a reader of this forum, not a poster - but have followed this case since Helen went missing in last April. I shared Helen and Boris’ photos many times, as I originally believed that they had gone missing on a walk and was so worried for them both.
I have bought her book for two widowed friends for whom Helen’s wonderful writing has brought alot of comfort, and much needed humour, and I am longing for the day that IS’s name can be expunged from the book’s dedication and an eloquent epilogue added perhaps by Helen’s brother.

:welcome: to the new sleuths who came out of :lurk: this morning.

Won't they go straight to him in the winess box after the crown closes? I don't remember defence opening speeches. Losing my marbles maybe.

Another reporter getting ready

Ian Stewart set to give evidence shortly. He denies murder of fiancée, author #HelenBailey. Allegedly motivated by money.
