this is a timeline, plus a map ( not as good as Skibaboo's of course )...the interesting part, to me, is the one I have copied in here....

Time Midnight
Karen, wearing a black jumpsuit and red high heels, tells her friends she is going to the toilet but doesn't return or take her jacket.

She is then seen on CCTV leaving the club around 01:00.

"Karen meets a male outside who has also just left the club.

"They cross the road, come together, and walk off together towards Church Street."

So if I am reading this correctly, Karen tells her pals she is going to the loo at midnight. She then remains in the club for another hour until 1am
- did they not wonder where she was and go to find her during that hour ?

Just catching up on the DM report which says Karen went to the toilet at 1am, not midnight as reported by the Beeb....so that does make more sense, because she then departed the Club round about 1am

That was last year though. He could have moved. That man was 20 last year, making him 21 now maybe? Same age as man with Karen.

Yeah it might be the same guy the name is very unusual I will keep an eye on the articles to see if they say anything about this.

Jumping off your timeline - I wonder if the Sanctuary club is one that stamps people's hands to allow them free readmission if they've already paid? It doesn't close until 2am according to its FB page so maybe that would explain Karen leaving her jacket behind? She thought she'd be back by 2am to pick it up and rejoin her friends?

TEAMS of police have been drafted in from all over Scotland as the search for Mourneabbey’s Karen Buckley intensifies on its fourth day in Glasgow.
Police searched throughout the night looking for the 24-year-old Cork woman, who went missing in the early hours of Sunday.
Officers with sniffer dogs were this morning combing a park in North Glasgow along with air support, looking for any trace of Karen after her bag was found in a bin at the entrance to the park, just a five minute walk from the apartment she went to with a man after leaving her friends at a nightclub.
It is believed that she left the flat at 4am and was planning to walk home to her own flat.
Alexander Pacteau, not a suspect say police, is helping in enquiries.

Alexander Pacteau, not a suspect say police, is helping in enquiries.

The man came forward yesterday after a police appeal. Named as 21-year-old Alexander Pacteau, police said today he is not being treated as a suspect and is “helping them with enquiries”.
Karen’s dad John, in Glasgow with mum Marian and Karen’s brothers, has made an emotional appeal for the return of his only daughter:
“If anybody is holding our girl please return her.”

BBM - that's a different wording to the police saying they * traced * AP

I think it's the same man with the counterfeit charge. The picture they are circulating of AP looks like a post court picture.

Interesting about the wording Zwiebel. I was thinking it was down to him being drunk and not remembering but him taking the car to the club would suggest he was sober.

Mmmmm. I'm on the fence with this one until we hear more. AP may have had a slightly dodgy past (if it's the same guy, I suspect it is) but nothing which makes him a murderer. That said, I reckon the police are playing a game here, waiting for someone to trip up.

I take it nothing has come of the "body found" announcement that was on the FB page?

I was confused with that as well Zwiebel - but am thinking the article may have just worded it badly ? and the car they are referring to is the car she travelled in from Sanctuary to the flat.
Although we do then have AP saying he believed she had arranged transport home ?

I am very interested in this case. The one thing I just cannot get my head around is, she apparently got in a car when leaving the club but wouldn't get in a car at 4 am on her own. It is all so strange and sad :(

I can't find anything on facebook or in the news about a body.

I can't find anything on facebook or in the news about a body.

It's on the Glasgow Smiles Better page. About 7pm last night, lots of angry people asking them to remove status but the admin claiming it's 100% true.

Just a thought - but if it was true, and they were waiting to inform all of the family, would they have to wait until Karen's brother got off his flight from Oz?

Police have confirmed Karen's phone was NOT in her handbag which they found

The search for missing Irish woman Karen Buckley has resumed as additional specialist police teams, including a helicopter with infra-red heat seeking equipment and sniffer dogs have been drafted in to search Dawsholm Park in Glasgow.

Dawsholm Park, where Ms Buckley’s handbag was found on Tuesday, will be the main area where the search will be concentrated today, according to Glasgow police, who also said Ms Buckley’s mobile phone was not recovered with her handbag.

Officers carrying out fingertip search of garden at man's flat

Specialist officers have just returned to the block of flats where Alexander Pacteau says he brought Kare home.

Nine officers dressed in black have arrived outside the taped off block at Dorchester Avenue where a lone officer stands guard.

They are equipped with long sticks to aid a fingertip search of the area inside and outside the address.

Officers have split into teams and are now beginning to search the communal front and back gardens in Dorchester Avenue

I could be wrong of course and everything will be revealed as the investigation unfolds but like others have said I think something happened in the flat. Too many coincidences otherwise. I'm seriously doubtful she left at 4 am to walk home for an hour in high heels and no coat. I'm sure the police have a good idea and know alot more. He has to be a very unlucky man to have been with someone who disappeared just after being with him.
