"We have managed to track her route from Sauchiehall Street down to Argyle Street and then on to the Broomielaw at the River Clyde.

"From CCTV we can see that Kirsty had taken her shoes off and was walking quickly and with purpose.

"There is no suggestion that Kirsty entered a taxi or any vehicle although we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen her walking down to the Broomielaw and then crossing over the road. http://stv.tv/news/west-central/135...-from-club-seen-a-mile-away-without-shoes-on/

Have just spoken with a friend who works in Glasgow town centre, apparently there are divers searching the River Clyde near the Riverboat Casino :(

Makes sense after the direction she headed in. I wonder why though?

2014 comments on her fb reflect someone appeared to be blackmailing her/harassing her. She is gorgeous and so are her children. She seems to adore them. Hoping she is found.

The taxi part is odd, isnt it. If a friend saw Kirsty getting into a taxi in Sauchiehall Street, then it would be strange to have already got out of the taxi by Argyle Street....
I wonder if there was a problem with the driver - although still doesnt explain why Kirsty would then walk in the wrong direction from her home

I read that she didn't get into any vehicle?

Can anyone tell me how Kirsty may have communicated with people apart from sign language, I was wondering how she would tell a taxi driver her address if her speech was difficult to understand. If she did get in a taxi at any point is it possible the taxi driver thought she was drunk?

Missing mum Kirsty Aitchison: River Clyde rescue hero carries out searches

River rescue hero George Parsonage has carried out a search for missing woman Kirsty Aitchison.

The Royal Humane Society chairman confirmed that searches of the River Clyde and its banks have been carried out in the last 24 hours after the 30-year-old disappeared on Sunday morning.

The search, however, only covered a five mile area from the ***River Clyde's tidal wheel in the Saltmarket to the site of the Old Belvidere Hospital in Glasgow's London Road.

A member of George's team covered the bank on his cycle and a river search was carried out.

George confirmed he has not been asked officially to carry out a search by Police Scotland yet.

Confusing. They seem to be searching UP stream from where she was last seen on Broomielaw? Have I got the river direction wrong, I thought it ran east to west?*

(*but then I do still have to do Never Eat Shredded Wheat...)

.

You're right, that's up stream.

So... have they got info that she might have walked along the river bank maybe? Seems odd to be searching that direction without proof she ever went that far...!

It sounds like they managed to trace her walking from Sauchiehall Street to Broomielaw on cctv.

There really isn't a reason to go that direction at night if you live in Robroyston, it's the wrong direction and there aren't any pubs/clubs/takeaways on it. The only place I can even think of near there is a 24 hour Mcdonalds in Finneston but you'd be much quicker walking down St Vincent Street to get to it and there are dozens of takeaways on and around Sauchiehall Street.

I think it is most likely she jumped in the river sadly. I cycle along Broomielaw a lot and It's quite normal to me to see the Humane Society out searching for a body. The fences by the river always have flowers attached to them. I once saw a man trying to jump off the "squiggly" bridge but some people saved him.

The Humane Society are based maybe half a mile upstream. They probably have decided to cover a specific amount of ground starting off from the Riverboat area and working downstream. I think they search quite methodically, they've located plenty of other bodies.
