That's the other thing, how can an attacker get an advantage over her? Would getting her into a vehicle mean that she loses some of her spatial advantage over an attacker due to restricted space?

ETA what if an attacker had a knife? She wouldn't be used to training with an opponent who had a weapon? How much would a weapon such as a knife change the dynamics of a fight for her?

Could she have been attacked by someone who's jealous of her success? With a record like hers would she be looking at Worlds or Olympics? Do they have TaeKwonDo at the Olympics?

Element of surprise + additional person + van?

The only person who would be able to overpower her imho even at close quarters would be a man equally trained in tae kwon do, police should be investigating everyone in her class

Hi I am new to this forum and have been following the Leah case since her brother posted a fb post saying she was missing. I have read through this thread and have found some posts that might be of interest...

Are we allowed to post shots of comments on fb?

I have a few that confirm a few things.

Thanks.

Hi, we're not allowed to reference social media posts on the main threads but you are allowed to PM people. On the main threads we can really only post or discuss things said in Mainstream Media (MSM) or by Law Enforcement (LE) on their official website, or official LE social media pages. However we cannot discuss public comments on MSM or LE pages as these are considered rumour. :) Hope this helps.

I would just like to reiterate Sera's reply and just add the link to where this info is found.

"Where exactly did Leah go missing? Police: “Leah’s usual route to work would be via Buzzacott Lane and then onto Faraday Drive using the redways to travel north towards Kelvin Drive in Knowlhill. We know that this is the route that Leah took on both Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th February, however extensive CCTV work has shown that she did not arrive in Faraday Drive on the morning she went missing - Friday 15th February.""

So, my apologies for being so geographically challenged and possibly missing something even though I had read every post :/ If on foot, how far is it from where Leah was spotted on CCTV at 8:15 to Faraday Drive (either in distance or time). Thank you!

I have been wondering about this too. If she has been abducted by a stranger, the two most likely scenarios are that either she was incapacitated in some way (hit from behind, run over, etc), but that would be awfully risky during the school run and there would still be the need to move her immediately. Or she was persuaded that someone was in trouble/ill and she went to help (one of Ted Bundy's favoured MOs).

If she has met up with someone she knows that might explain her going willingly, but there would have come a point at which bad intentions became obvious and she surely would have put up a fight.

She could be overpowered by a woman trained in martial arts.

Or hit with a piece of 2x4 by someone close in who has no specialism at all.

JMO.

I cannot get even a glimmer of a feel as to what happened in this case...it doesn’t feel like it is being given enough urgency by police , which UK police seem to be quite thorough about as a rule, from what I have seen...jmo

That's why I think they have a suspect in mind. It's too quiet, and locals are not being advised to be careful. Or perhaps they have reason to believe Leah left voluntarily. Either way the police aren't thinking there's a random kidnapper on the loose or they'd be pushing it more.

What if, instead of a knife, it was a taser? How do you incapacitate someone with her skill set (assuming they know about her skills) and be able to whisk her away? Sorry if this was previously queried, I'm just catching up in here :)

The element of surprise could play a massive part, hence the attack happening in the morning and not in the evening when it's dark. As a female, I know that I am less likely to have my wits about me at 8.15am, yet come dusk I am fully alert and aware of my surroundings and any potential threat.
Why the need for a weapon? Isn't an unsuspected blow to the head enough to render someone unconscious or at the very least stun them enough to subdue them?

Absolutely possible when looking at someone subduing her. And whether or not they ‘knew’ about her abilities, they would be able to kidnap her for whatever reasons.

So, why Leah? Why on this particular day? Was this some random attack? Or was she targeted? If random, what type of alerts have the public been advised about? If targeted, what possible enemies does she have?

Sounds like police have a pretty good idea of who was responsible and have someone under investigation/under police watch, the search for her abductor seems pretty low key and police don’t seem to be advising women to take extra care etc when out alone

Sounds to me like she was targeted by someone she knew and police don’t consider there is a predator on the loose
