I apologise if someone has asked this already but I’ve been out all day and I’m still trying to catch up! As he appears to be the only suspect in Libby’s disappearance that we are aware of, and as he has be remanded in custody, will the LE continue to interrogate him or do you think he’ll be transferred straight to prison?

He's held on remand.

No more questioning.

They cannot continue to talk to him about this if they have used up their entire 96 hour allowance.

I believe they would have to re-arrest before they are allowed to question him again.

I think they would need pretty compelling new evidence to be able to hold I'm in custody.

I think they will leave him now till they have that vital piece of information they need.

I am guessing he would have lawyered up also- and they will tell him to stay quiet.

If he is later charged with abduction or murder- can they question again as new charges? I don't know criminal law!

If he is responsible for Libby- I hope he starts boasting in jail and gets overheard by an informer.

It could be that its not even up for rent yet, I believe she moved out pretty recent so they could be doing it up before putting it back on the market, i'm pretty sure it is not one of the shared houses, i'm guessing as she had a child it will be a 2 bedroom, I know they shared the same landlord though, I worry that they are emptying his house and she could be just across the road in an empty property right under their noses.

He'll be held in a prison on these charges brought before the court today. Because he hasn't been formally charged on anything related to LS, he could be questioned and interviewed further on any new evidence that surfaces as they continue that investigation

I'll play devil's advocate here for a minute- not to contradict you of course, just to debate (because I am 50 50 right now about this guy's character)

I think he could be quite good at leading a double life as earlier reports when he was first arrested, claimed hard working, respectable, devoted family man who didn't go drinking and preferred to stay home. Naturally this was his landlord and I believe neighbours who said that if I recall. I'm very curious to know if he was known locally as a creep by a lot of people???

He wasn't charged with abduction- so I m guessing not overwhelming evidence from the house or car of murder OR a struggle. Or of course, police are building a case.

My thoughts keep going back to the river. Wonder if it is a big river and fast flowing? I still haven't seen it being dragged anywhere?

Not thinking hostage situation is possible either. :(

I think he might well be an escalating psychopath who was getting more brazen in his activities and getting a thrill off it. Plus he didn't crack under interview- he might be enjoying the drama he is causing? With a narcissistic personality- lies, superiority, lack of empathy etc are all traits.

The sex trafficking- well not very likely- she would be missed within a few hours and transporting her would be hard. She is not anything like a typical victim for trafficking- too high risk.

Just my own opinions :)

It's not a particularly deep river. This is demonstrated by the fact that a local oil company (Rix) gets deliveries by barge down the river and has to time these deliveries with the highest tide.

Given that he seems so fond of collecting treasures from his activities, I think it could be possible that he has a place somewhere where he hoards the things that he steals. I’m sure there’s a limit on how much he could get away with hiding at home with a wife on maternity leave and 2 kids. I’d love to know his UK work history and if he ever did manual labour. I remember posting a review on a property in Wellesley Street back at the start, from a Hull university student saying she felt unsafe because a workman had let himself into the property unnannounced on several occasions and that the rental houses were known for this happening as maintained by the same company

Also, there have been references to keys - I think the police need to made aware of that, if they haven't been already, it's not easy to spot an empty house, probably still has curtains up and such like...

They play the %'s

My guess is they have concrete evidence to put libby in that park (witness/CCTV etc)

If you don't find her at first, then you start looking in more and more detail until you are sure.

if this is the case why wasnt the park sealed off to the public? this is something im struggling to understand.

I’m still struggling with this ; say L is 10 stone in weight , not nice to say but dead weight , and if they did end up in the park , how far could he actually drag her ? Ask your partner to try and drag you with you trying to make no effort in your position to be more bendy. Your not gonna spend 10 minutes in the wide open dragging a body ???

I almost hate to ask, but someone mentioned that Oak Road Park is an area known for dogging? So possible the running man/screams are connected to that - or possible the person held in custody today frequented that area considering his charges?

Thanks for that! Would explain why it isn't being searched maybe? The drain looks fairly narrow and shallow also.

I would utterly hate to live in Hull right now- the city is starting to sound like a vice den and I am sure it is probably not that bad... Sounds like dogging would be a hobby of his alright!

Aye, same.
I'm wondering if she walked with him (?) into the park. So dragging her anywhere wasn't an issue.

Suitcase or large bag, easier if either has wheels.

My sons at Reading uni and when him and his mates took on a new rental they had a rear wall that had fallen down in the garden area and on signing contacts asked the landlord to fix it . The boys came home from uni one day and there was a random builder in the back garden fixing the wall ( there’s no access to it except through the house) so that builder had let himself in when all the lads were at lectures
