This case like no other, make me wish that incidents of 'flashing', exposure, underwear theft etc were taken seriously by victims, society and police.

The men who perpetrate these crimes are like drug addicts, they almost always escalate as they need to feel the same level of 'high' and there is a clear pattern of that escalation from most perpetrators.

It enrages me that 'flashing' is seen as a joke or harmless thing by a lot of men and even some women!

The police appealed for witnesses to an incident of indecent exposure in a park near me recently - the comments on it were mostly men tagging friends saying 'oi mate you up to your old tricks' or women saying 'maybe he just needed a wee' ‍‍‍‍

Pawel, it seems, was only charged with his offending because of Libbys disappearance.
If we take Libby out of the equation, would he even have been caught and charged without escalating? Would he have been given such a substantial sentence of it wasn't for his suspected involvement in Libbys disappearance?

At the moment the timeline presented is quite short from arriving at the park entrance to the man running out of the park ...to head over towards the river ...attack , kill and put a person into the river ...unless he goes back

Good point. We're only looking at around 15 minutes (if that) from leaving Haworth Street, raping her, putting her in the river and running back

Relowicz’s movements tracked by man who heard screaming
The man who heard the screams was later able to reconstruct with police where he saw what the prosecution say was the defendant at three points. These were later plotted onto an aerial image.

The jury are being shown the image.

The distance away from the man’s house that he thought the screaming was coming from was 150 metres away and in the direction of the River Hull.

Mr Wright said: “It was some time after they stopped that the defendant emerged from the darkness. At an average walking speed it might take just less than four minutes to cover all of the distance from the defendant’s car to the water.

“At a run – and we know that the defendant was running – no more than about a minute and a half or two minutes at most.”

Relowicz left Oak Road just seven and a half minutes after arriving with Libby, say the prosecution
The jury is being shown CCTV footage of when Relowicz allegedly returned back to his car – shown by the flashing of lights of the car being unlocked.

The time of this clip is 12.19am, around seven and a half minutes after it is claimed he arrived at Oak Road Playing Fields with Libby.

CCTV sited on a nearby yeast factory managed to capture Relowicz and Libby arriving and Relowicz leaving, Mr Wright said.

He added: “That seven and a half minute window was more than enough time for the defendant to have taken or pursued Libby out into the playing fields, sexually attacked and killed her, put her body into the river, and then run back to his car.

“It is equally possible, as we will see when we pick up the CCTV trail, that the defendant had raped and killed Libby during this first visit, but that he did not put her body into the water until his third trip to the area later that evening.”

Libby was never seen alive again
Relowicz was later picked up on CCTV heading onto Beverley Road at around 12.20am.

The court has heard he then parked in Raglan Street at around 12.23am and a figure could be then be seen on CCTV walking in the direction of Relowicz’s home.

Relowicz returned to Oak Road Playing Fields
The same CCTV footage that saw Relowicz return to his home in Raglan Street picked him up at 2.22am, Mr Wright said.

By 2.25am, he was caught on CCTV arriving back at Oak Road Playing Fields. He remained there for just over four minutes.

Mr Wright tells the jury: “What was it that caused him to make this return journey after two in the morning? We will invite you to conclude that it was inevitably linked to Libby and what he had done to her on those playing fields.”

The court heard that after his third visit to Oak Road Playing Fields, Relowicz continued to cruise around the student area in Hull, eventually arriving in Newland Avenue at 2.38am.

Mr Wright says that around six minutes later he drove to Alexandra Road and parked up: “CCTV cameras picked up the defendant walking across Newland Avenue.

"The defendant appears to be standing with his knees bent. The prosecution suggest that what you are watching here [in the CCTV] is the defendant masturbating in the street.”

The court has heard Relowicz was then captured on CCTV making his way back to his home in Raglan Street.

Newland Avenue looks to be a main road - the sheer face/arrogance of the man to have done what he just had and then go into an open area and do that - no remorse.

Yes, not sure if the jury will be formally told about his other convictions but they now at least know that he was the type to stand on a main road masturbating!
