Over that length of time, definitely not excessive. IMO.

So on average she, or someone using her phone, watched a blackhead popping video about 1.6 times per week over the stated period.
It’s not my thing, and it makes me want to vomit, but if it is your thing I wouldn’t call that outrageously excessive.

She is employed by Barclays Bank.

Ms Rees asks the witness about Williamson’s bank account being accessed via the Barclays banking app, at 11.21pm on the evening of June 30, 2021.

Ms James confirms an Android device with Williamson’s telephone number was registered to the Barclays banking app.

Referring to the login at 11.21pm on July 30, Ms James confirmed a five-digit passcode had been entered.

At 12.28pm, earlier in the day on June 30, a login was entered by Williamson’s phone on the Barclays app when Williamson was in a Lifestyle Express store in Sarn.

Ms Rees said: “We see Angharad Williamson taps the screen of her phone on a number off occasions and appears to be looking at something on her phone.”

Ms James also investigated whether Cole or the youth defendant have accounts with Barclays, but they do not.

Mr Elias QC, for Cole, cross examines Ms James.

He asks if after a period of inactivity, do the banking apps automatically lock the user out for security reasons. Ms James confirms this.

The barrister also asks if the ID number for the 12.28pm and 11.21pm logins for the Barclays app was matched with the mobile phone belonging to Williamson. Ms James confirms this.

Andrew Davies, junior barrister for Williamson, asks if a login can be achieved by a person clicking on an icon and putting in the passcode. The witness confirms this.

Didn't her payment at the shop decline so she rang JC then managed to pay ok?

Maybe she was looking at her account so late to see if any money/benefits had cleared.

And clicking her screen a number of times could mean she was checking the time.

Cole's arrest
The next witness is detective sergeant Jonathon Allen.

At 6.20pm on August 1, he attended Cole’s address at Maesglas and at 6.22pm he arrested Cole on suspicion of Logan’s murder.

The defendant made no reply and was handcuffed and escorted to a police vehicle. He asked for his medication and asked when he would be able to speak to Williamson.

Body worn footage is played to the jury.

The officers enter the property and speak briefly to Williamson and the youth defendant.

Cole is then taken downstairs and is arrested.

Upon being arrested, Cole says “What” and starts breathing heavily.

He is told by officers to calm down and he will be taken to Cardiff Bay police station.

She also attended Maesglas at 6pm on August 1 in order to arrest Williamson.

The officer asked the defendant to come downstairs where she arrested Williamson on suspicon of Logan’s murder.

She made no reply and remained at the bottom of the stairs. She said: “I haven’t done anything wrong, I haven’t done anything. I have asked you for help and you’re arresting me.”

What's the angle for the amount of times a certain video has been played? Could they be insinuating something along the lines of ASD for someone; a 'special interest' being one of the triad of impairments. Or just that the same person has had access to that account?

That’s a valid point. It’s certainly indicative she’s not in a normal state of mind.

Here is a transcript of Williamson’s arrest and what she said:

Williamson: "What do you know?"

Police: "We’ll explain to you in a moment."

Williamson: "What do you mean you’ll explain?"

Police: "There’s nothing you need to do a second."

Williamson: "What do you mean? Where is he? Where is Logan? When is he coming back to Bridgend?"

Police: "I don’t know.

Williamson: "They’re doing the autopsy. No one is telling me what is happening with him…. What is going on?"

Police: "We’ll explain everything now."

Williamson: "This is my son, I want to know what happened to him. Please. "

Police: "We’ll tell you now."

Williamson: "He’s five, bless him, my baby. You have got to tell me something please. I am begging, I am begging you please (Starts sobbing)."

Police: "We know it’s a difficult time, we’re trying to get all the answers we can."

Williamson: "Where is (John) going? Where is he going? What’s going on?"

Police: "We’re going to explain now, have a sit down a minute and we’ll explain now."

Williamson: "What is going on, what is going on, why what’s going on?"

Police: "Listen to me now. Come downstairs with me."

Williamson: "What is going on?"

Police: "Listen to me now, what is happening at the moment is John has been arrested. Listen to me a second, we’re going to arrest you as well."

Williamson gasps and starts hyperventilating

Police: "Calm down, what we don’t want to do is get (the youth) wound up."

Williamson: "Why am I getting arrested? (Starts sobbing)"

Police: "Sit down by there a minute."

Williamson: "I haven’t done anything wrong."

Police:"Don’t cry ok." (Formally arrests Williamson on suspicion of murder).

Williamson: "Can I get dressed, please I haven’t got a bra on."

Police: "I can’t let you go upstairs, they won’t let you have (a bra)."

Williamson: "My son."

Police: "It’s part of the investigation ok?"

Williamson: "I just want Logan back." (Sobs)

Police: "You’re going to go to a police station where you’ll be interviewed and they’ll ask you some questions and they’ll go from there. As I said to John, there’s quite a lot of press interest in this case. What you don’t want is people, neighbours and press seeing you like this. Nobody is going to know you have been arrested."

Williamson: "I haven’t done anything, I ask for your help and now you’re blaming me."

Police: "We’re arresting you to speak to you, we need to interview you."

Williamson: "This is not real."

Police: "We can get you away from prying eyes, neighbours and any press."

Williamson: "Are they here, press?"

Police: "No but you can imagine it doesn’t take long when there are police cars in the street."

Williamson: "Can we go please?"

Police: "Try and calm down as we go outside. The girls will take you to Bridgend police station."

Williamson: "Logan is on his own, he don’t like being on his own. Is somebody with Logan?"

Williamson: "I have just lost my son, this is tearing my heart apart. We need to find help find out what happened to Logan."

The next witness is detective sergeant Anthony Watts who arrested the youth defendant at 6.30pm.

Ms Rees said: “Did you make sure he understood what you said to him?”

DS Watts said: “I did my best, yes.”

The youth was handcuffed and taken to a police station.

Here is a transcript of the youth’s arrest.

Youth: "Get the *advertiser censored** out of my way, get the *advertiser censored** out of my way"

Police: "Come on now."

Police: "You’re not in control of the situation now…."

Youth: "What’s going to happen with us two (referencing Williamson)?"

Youth: "Why am I under arrest?"

Police: "Because of the investigation. We have got some questions that we need to ask you. Something has arisen… All will be explained when we go to the police station. Be tidy with me, don’t kick off and play up."

Williamson can be heard shouting the youth’s name.

Youth: "I’m under arrest."

Williamson: "Do what you’re told please… You have done nothing wrong."

Youth: "I know."

The trial adjourns for a lunch break and will resume after then.

If you were threatened at this point you would pick that baby up & run the second those 2 left the house.

Sorry to be late picking this up. I just wanted to say, we all think we would do that but there's a slew of evidence that leaving an abusive relationship is more complicated than just grabbing the kids and running.

At 5 in the morning with no one around, two physically dominant males in the vicinity (allegedly) disposing of a murdered child, and an 18-month-old in arms, she might not reasonably have expected to get far enough to be safe. Or just as likely might have been completely beyond thinking along those lines.

I'm not saying I think she's innocent, but I don't think her failure to run should be interpreted as evidence of guilt.
