It is understood Logan had been isolating for two weeks with his mum Angharad Williamson and stepdad Jay Cole while recovering from Covid.

One close friend told The Sun the family had recently returned from a trip to Blackpool.

Their last day of self-isolation was Saturday - when the youngster was found dead.

The friend said Angharad collapsed soon after arriving at hospital when doctors told her Logan could not be saved.

Cops seize doorcam after boy, 5, 'murdered after isolating with mum & stepdad'

I'm starting to believe the mum genuinely thought Logan had gone out the door himself and if true must be absolutely beyond devastated. Definately think its been to do with the 13 yr old who I believe is the half brother (wonder if they shared a bedroom) and either he alone has took Logan to the river or his dad helped cover it up?

All MOO

Or perhaps he'd been placed in the river after he was dead to make it look as though he'd wandered off and drowned by himself - JMO

I have the Bulger case in my mind, where his little body was laid across the railway line to make it appear that he'd been killed by a train.

Totally different case I know, so shouldn't really compare.

Yes, it is shocking to read. However, some people may be up very early for shift work and others may be unable to sleep due to anxiety - especially with the Covid situation - so I'm not altogether surprised that others were also awake.
I am often awake before dawn. I routinely see my neighbours 21 yr old son leaving for work about 4:45 am .... So I totally believe someone may have seen a man at the water that early.

That's my guess---he was taken to the water so he could be 'found.' But an autopsy will quickly dispel any notions of him drowning in that river. JMO

Anyone else getting Jonbenet Ramsay vibes here? A lot of possible parallels.

Arresting all 3 for murder sort of suggests they don’t yet have a clear idea who actually killed the poor child, vs who may have assisted an offender /perverted the course of justice etc. Or perhaps it is a tactic?

I noticed several articles include the standard line about “specialist support officers are supporting the family”. Wonder if that means this support continues even if under arrest, or if there are other close family members affected too.

no word on who the child's biological father is? thought he'd appear to show his respects. I know a loss like this is like no other, especially when it doesn't seem he was living with Logan, that's if the biological father is around or even known

They are giving two different surnames for the child. One is his mother's and the other his biological father. Father's surname is Kenyan in origin.
13 year old is the step brother of deceased not half brother as stated in other posts

I'm in England so don't know if it's different in Wales the DM article quotes a neighbour "He was in the same school as my daughter and for the last few weeks he had Covid and was self isolating" that seesms like a very long time to be in isolation now we only have 10 days to be off school. If they had been cooped up for weeks it could have been a very stressed household

JMO/MOO
Maybe one family member became infected after another and extended the isolation period?

I think it's just poor journalism, mixing older quotes with newer ones. A police officer is also quoted as saying it's a tragic accident...
