I wonder what they're searching for.

"Police divers have been searching the river while forensics teams go through the house.

The force on Tuesday widened the search area of the river with divers spending a fourth day scouring the water and its banks.

Specialist officers were seen searching the river banks after taping off another stretch.

Another neighbour said: "The divers have been in and out of the river for a long time now they're definitely looking for something specific.

"They've had the drone overhead flying up and down the river and the forensics teams have been in and out of the house. It's all very thorough."

Wondered that too as @Rosegold said perhaps a weapon or clothes? What else stood out in the article for me was this:

A neighbour said: "It was a surprise when she said they were engaged because her partner wasn't around all the time.

I wonder if the 13 yr old did not live with them but had to isolate with them after the holiday?

"Logan was reported missing around 5.45am on Saturday. Neighbours heard his mother desperately shouting, "the back door was open"......................"

I find this quite odd, unless it's been misreported.

Why would she shout 'the back door WAS open' (past tense)
If you're frantically searching for a child at that point would you not shout 'the back door IS open'?

OR perhaps Mum was in disbelief, by saying 'the back door was open' she meant that LW couldn't have possibly opened the door by himself.

I think this is slightly misleading- l think this is what the neighbours said rather than the neighbours directly quoting. So 'she was shouting the back door was open ' as it's more natural than 'she said 'the back door is open'. But we'll see.

Perhaps she had just been told by her partner the back door WAS open and in her panic she repeated it shouting??

I think if she’s talking to someone, or at someone it’s likely she’d trying to explain she thinks he’s got out because the back door was open.

The very bottom picture on the article is the kindling sorry. I do think another picture looks like clothing if some kind.

This pic? The black square could be kindling or burnt wood but I mean the thing to the right could possibly be a belt?

Mystery man seen near river in which Logan Williamson, 5, found dead 1hr later

Bit more info about man on river at 4.45 am and also this from it:

Another resident said she had spoken to police about a row outside the house where Logan lived.

She said: “I heard a row going off outside the house and what I thought was strange was I could hear a child’s voice.

“A bit later I could hear the mother screaming outside the house. She was on the phone to police.

”All of this kicked off at around 5.30 in the morning and I couldn’t get back to sleep.”

Edited to include this which I just spotted on re-reading:

A family friend yesterday revealed to The Sun Angharad spent four hours with Logan in hospital after he died.

I really still don't think the mum had anything to do with it MOO

Paramedics and Doctors will do their best to resuscitate, they may have been trying for a while until pronouncement of death was made in hospital.
Yes, I think this can confuse people. The order of events is often:
1. Death
2. Resuscitation attempts (unsuccessful)
3. Pronouncement of death

So the actual place of death is not always where death was pronounced. Of course, happily sometimes they do manage to bring someone back.
