The body of a man has been found after a police search of a reservoir in the hunt for a fiancé suspected of killing his 29-week pregnant partner in Glasgow.
The body is yet to be identified, Police Scotland believed to be that of David Yates, the partner of Marelle Sturrock, 35, who was 29 weeks pregnant when she was discovered dead at the flat she shared with Mr Yates, 36, in Jura Street, Glasgow, on Tuesday morning.
Mr Yates was wanted in connection with her murder. The investigation is ongoing. Police maintain there is no information to suggest anyone else is involved.
Police have said reports related to the discovery of the body would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Detective Superintendent Nicola Kilbane said: 'Our thoughts are with Marelle's family and friends, along with everyone affected by this tragedy. 'We are providing her family with specialist support at this incredibly difficult time.'
Yates's white Seat Ateca was found at Mugdock Country Park, some eight miles north of the couple's property on Tuesday, sparking a major search.
He was last seen near Mugdock Country Park, just outside the city in East Dunbartonshire.
