My guess is he’s murdered her Sunday evening, then went to off himself at the park that same night. I would be shocked if he’s still alive at this point.

I would assume the school tried to contact her Monday after she didn’t show up for work but to no avail so they are the ones that contacted police probably late Monday / early Tuesday.
 
Incredibly sad but nothing like this happens out of the blue. There will have been signs and red flags along the way. Tbf, he looks like a nice guy. Often, there is a context of controlling behaviour and domestic violence which leads up to this, the Homicide Timeline as described in Professor Jane Monckton Smith's book, In Control. It really clarified the subject for me because when I was young (home left me) with no-one in my corner, I ended up in one of these relationships but thankfully got out.

The body of a man has been found after a police search of a reservoir in the hunt for a fiancé suspected of killing his 29-week pregnant partner in Glasgow.

The body is yet to be identified, Police Scotland believed to be that of David Yates, the partner of Marelle Sturrock, 35, who was 29 weeks pregnant when she was discovered dead at the flat she shared with Mr Yates, 36, in Jura Street, Glasgow, on Tuesday morning.

Mr Yates was wanted in connection with her murder. The investigation is ongoing. Police maintain there is no information to suggest anyone else is involved.

Police have said reports related to the discovery of the body would be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Detective Superintendent Nicola Kilbane said: 'Our thoughts are with Marelle's family and friends, along with everyone affected by this tragedy. 'We are providing her family with specialist support at this incredibly difficult time.'

Yates's white Seat Ateca was found at Mugdock Country Park, some eight miles north of the couple's property on Tuesday, sparking a major search.

He was last seen near Mugdock Country Park, just outside the city in East Dunbartonshire.

I wonder if the alert message on Sunday played any part if she had a hidden phone.

Please can you or anyone tell me which press article / outlet says that meal was on Sunday afternoon. I’ve searched so many and can’t find anything other than this badly written metro article that is really confusing.

It says she was pictured smiling with friends hours before she was found dead but she wasn’t found until Tuesday morning.

Next it says the picture was posted on Sunday afternoon. Not that it was taken Sunday afternoon.

Then it says it was shared (me taking it to mean the meal out / photo opportunity because they’ve already said the photo was posted on Sunday) the ‘night before’ she mysteriously died. So suggests Saturday night?

The photo was uploaded to Marelle's Facebook on the Sunday morning which would suggest she met friends for the meal on the Saturday. Something must have then happened later on the Sunday before he has been seen at the country park that evening. Tragic for both families.
