I agree. I was puzzled by the 9.10 to 9.20 part too. I seem to recall a WS poster managing to explain it or clarify it, maybe, but I'm afraid I don't remember what the explanation was. Unless it was that police think that if there were any involvement by another party it is during that time when they might be seen, or captured on CCTV as they approached.
I'd guess they want to know NBs movements between 9.10 and 9.20 because although they know the phone was put on the bench at 9.20, they can't be 100% sure it was Nicola who put it there.

It was asked by someone earlier if Nicola had gone missing before. With all the confusion of where Willow was found and the phone etc. I decided to go back to the earlier reports by msm (Thank you @Allabouttrial ).

I found this earlier report about the community gathering to search and found it interesting that someone searched " an abandoned house between the village hall and the Ivy Dene Alpacas site" I tried to get a street view of this with no luck.

Sorry if this has been looked at and dismissed, as much as I have tried, it's difficult to keep up.

I also found there was conflicting information in earlier reports of where Willow and phone etc were found and the sequence of events.....
It was PA Nicola's partner who had a look in the building you mention before the community meeting but I have not seen It stated anywhere why he looked in that particular building.

You would if you wanted a suicide to look like an accident. You would want everything everyone expected you to do on that day to play out as normal. Nicola works in mortgages so would be very aware of life assurance policies etc. If you wanted to commit suicide but didn’t want to leave your family without your life assurance you would potentially do so in a way to make it look accidental.

If you wanted to disappear you may go through the motions especially looking like you were engaged on a work call to buy you time to get away.

He also said it was about a foot higher than on the day of his searching so it does seem possible there would have been some flow. It is only a small river and a foot extra is quite a significant amount of water.

PF of all people will definitely know what he is talking about with regards to river searches. He's a dive
He's publicly revised his thinking Specialist explains how he would have changed search for Nicola

I think that LP during the most recent Press Conference, said that the Teams meeting was routine, informative, and Nicola would not have been expected to speak. I do wonder if the work meeting the night before brought some kind of bad news and if any part of the Teams work meeting could have related to this. The Teams call was still connected after the meeting had finished. The last known communication was the Teams call and JMO but I can’t help wondering about the content of the two meetings and if it has been a trigger. I know it was stated that she was in high spirits the night before but she could have been masking something that she did not want to share.

There is also a huge stigma on suicides. Many people would prefer that their families think they had an accident than know for sure they took their own life. The latter would be far more upsetting.
Sorry, this is a reply to angel above.

I have also thought whether something mentioned in that last meeting made her snap. More of something she didn't want to do and then it all felt too much.

He's just making excuses to try to explain his failure to find NB, none of it is relevant because a proper S&R operation wouldn't rule anything in or out in terms of the circumstances anyway.

He said he would be "looking for things like whisky bottles".

Can't see how that would make any difference and find it pretty crude to say that, as far as we know NB was sober on the morning she disappeared and finding a bottle of anything wouldn't mean a jot without finding NB,

Also, he mentioned the difference between somebody drowning in place or trying to swim away being relevant in terms of suicide vs fall but again, as an experience S&R I wouldn't expect him to exclude either scenario.

Just noise really, shame.

Well, if he is just making stuff up now, perhaps we should discount him as the expert witness. ‍♀️

In response to some confusion as to why a person would join a Teams call and make a play date preceding suicide, they probably wouldn’t trust they’d go through with it, particularly if there had been previous failed attempts.

There was also a bit right at the end where they said something along the lines of "she must have walked here every day" and he replied "probably" which made me think he didn't know her really.
He told them he didn't know NB when he said he'd seen her and PA with Willow in the past, but had no idea who they were or what they were called. The reporters just ignored him and continued to bulldoze through with their questions.

If she left the river area, how?

If she didn't, why hasn't the river given her up?

Where is she?

I'm disgusted by the depth of information released by the Police. Doesn't help answer any of the 3 questions above.

So back to Ron the dog walker…..

He states that he got at call at 9:33, which was how he knew the time.

His wife was phoning to say ‘Penny’ had fastened the dog. So when did Penny get there? Why did she call his wife? Why didn’t ‘Penny’ call the number on the tag? *edited to add Ron didn’t say they didn’t so maybe missed in the rerun of the morning*

‘It was a progression…..WE found out who the couple were’……

I’m sorry to get a bit conspiracy theory here, but this timeline doesn’t sit right with me.

From the article you linked are the answers:

"He didn't know Ms Bulley but recognised her dog Willow."

"Ron added that when he first found the phone he thought 'somebody had gone to toilet'.

He added: 'I got to about this red brick building here and I thought 'this is not right'.

Minutes earlier, a local businesswoman – also walking her dog – had found Willow loose and the phone on the bench."
Ron claimed that the phone was unlocked when he saw it but it was locked when his wife looked at it. Surely someone can determine the time delay of the phone lock and establish when it was left there

I just rewatched it and decided to delete my post that you have responded to, couldn't be sure how to interpret what I heard.

It did seem like they bulldozed him a bit though yes, but I also can't help thinking he must have seen all the film crew there and yet still he still decided to go that way.
