I don’t understand that the man says 9.15 when the police say 9.10.

I have major misgivings that the last person to see her alive turns out not to be a friend as such but an apparently older dog walker (70 years) who appeared to ”know” her from dog walks.

No disrespect to older men but I know what my dad’s facial recognition skills are like!

One woman with mid brown hair in a puffa looks much like another and there are loads of us all over the country.

Is it possible that he mistook her for someone very similar or he mistook the day. Did he actually have a conversation with her?
He spoke to the lady who found the harness and phone. Her friend was the last person to see her near Smiths fence

Agreed but I think all TA is trying to do is help a friend (PA) find his missing partner, with his permission, by putting out as much as she can in terms of the circumstances of that day to better the chances of finding NB.
yes I am sure that is the case. It might be helpful if the family had an official spokesperson to do updates on their behalf

Okay but let's be real. None of us on SM - whether it's here on WS or in a FB group is going to solve this case ( realistically ) How does putting that - with the extra 6 exclamation marks - help on Facebook?

What's wrong with TA instead suggesting to family that when the Family Liaison* officer calls/arrives tomorrow, they ask that they urgently speak to team to ask whether key buildings on river banks have been checked? ( Direct comms w LE - not via FB - has to be better imo)
( the FLO* updates the family every day, Riley said so, in both pressers)

Yes. Maybe like a Clarence Mitchell type person Someone with media experience.

She was seen by a “dog walker” at 8.47 and a “witness who knows her“ at 9.10 although some reports say 9.15.

Which of these are you calling “her friend” - are either of them actually friends as such, did either of them talk to her?

yes exactly that, would stop all the nonsense speculations and we would know that the information came directly from the family rather than a Friend's FB posts.

That's not quite correct, the river levels are slightly below average according to the river monitoring stations in the area.
Sorry if I wasn’t clear - I was referring to water level compared with some specific photos posted upthread which were taken in summer when the river looked unusually low probably due to seasonal variations.

I think a poster was trying to ascertain whether the river could be crossed on foot between the bench and the weir and my view is not with current water levels. That section would almost certainly be too deep to wade.

A witness who knows her saw NB at 9.10

' Roger Jones, 16, was thrown into the River Wyre after a motorcycle accident. The crash took place only a few yards upstream from where Nicola Bulley's phone was discovered in St Michael's on Wyre on the riverbank where the mother of two vanished.'
The young student was carried away in a swiftly running brook and his later body washed ashore on a sandbank at low tide close to a bridge seven miles from St Michael's.

The teenager's body wasn't found until two months later.

Roger's family, who lost the youngest of their three kids on that January night in 1978, have had terrifying flashbacks amid the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of the 45-year-old.'

I suppose it just helps us from going round & round in circles speculating on wrong information. Also, incorrect information in the public domain could potentially prevent a potential witness from coming forward with vital information. But yes we are going to discuss the highly unusual circumstances in this case regardless if it comes from police or MSM, I would just rather discuss the facts. (jmo)

The sonar chap said it’s too shallow to get out that far? Even his boat got stuck on the riverbed it was so shallow.
I don't know. Was pointing out that they were now searching beyond Knott End and as far as Morecambe Bay as per the article.

I noticed in the recent night video that someone uploaded walking in the area (sorry can’t fine the link as it’s a few chats back) that there is the metal gate and also a small step over gate. The person who steps over, their dog follows. I wonder if their dog could go that way to get to the path behind the metal gate. Can anyone verify that?
I did see this video too and I also struggled to find the link for it. He also looks directly down over in to the river where you can see the stones. I would be grateful if you could share the link should you manage to find it.
